I love how you show that you don't need any special tools (work bench, band saw, fancy welder) to fab up your own material. Hell yeah bro! Thanks for these informative vids!

10 years of using angle grinders and never had an issue. Then 1 disk exploded and barely missed my cheek while I was wearing key ‘safety squints’. I now use a guard and face shield! Ain’t no joke.

I use 14”-1/8” cop saw wheels on my 9” Milwaukee angle grinder all the time. Have had a couple detonate on me. If you have all the proper PPE the worst you’ll get is a red mark from the impact.

Take a sanding bit on a Dremel or a carbide bit on the drill and just clean the inside man, it looks awesome still! We all start somewhere and the best way to learn is to dive in. Can’t wait to see it all together 💪

I'm probably not the first to say a mid pie cut has the angle on both sides, easy way to calculate is to divide the full bend angle with the amount of pie cuts you want and divide again by 2= what each side should be. This is a real easy way to start with pie cut tube bends, keep doing what you do...

Definitely a good video even though the result wasn't any good. It is a good look into what to avoid when people are getting into fabrication. I think a lot of people expect building exhausts and parts to be much easier than it is. I don't think very many people realize the kind of money we put out in order to have the proper tools we need to fabricate the things we make.

Pablo please, dont get the eastwood tig 200. Yes it is the cheaper alternative, but for a little more money, get the AHP alphatig 200x, you will never ever need to buy another welder once you buy one. i made the mistake of buying the eastwood, then i grew out of it and found myself looking for a a welder that had a few more options and performed with some of the high end welders. i wish i never wouldve bought the eastwood, because for another 200$ i couldve bought the alphatig and that was 5 years ago. they are even more updated now, and keep up with the welders in the 1500$ to 2000$ range. Trust me papi, you absolutely will be in love with it. do some research on it, its ratings are amazing.

Buy an Evolution Metal Saw. For beginners using an angle grinder is fine, but you'll never regret buying a saw. Always clean cuts, and when welding a clean cut could make or break the project. Love the diy enthusiasm pimpin'.

I dont agree with this. I always say your time is worth money. I always buy a bare minimum toolset to get a job done. A cheap bender is like 100$ you re going to waste an entire day for 1 bend you have like 10 bends to do... nah too much wasted time. 100% you dont need 50k worth of equipment but come on a bender if you re into cars will always be useful.

Primeweld TIG 225 check out the fabrication series it's the best for your buck and it's under $800. Tig and stick, you can get a spool gun attachment run gas with flux core it's called dual shielding

You probably hear this a lot but I would definitely throw that guard back on your grinder. I work for a shop that does industrial fab for ag, nuclear and food, mainly stainless and they buy the high end cutting disks and you’d be surprised at how much damage those can do when the explode. My co-worker is in his sixties and is missing half of is left index finger because he took his guard off and one exploded and severed it before he even knew what happened. Good job using the face shield though. I’ve had two cubitron explode in my face
@dannyholohan26673 жыл бұрын
Turned off as soon as I noticed guard removed from grinder. Why do people remove the guard? Do you really think you’re getting better cutting from the tool? Ffs. Use the tool how it was designed

Hey man it's probably better to use a sawsaw for clean cuts and you dont have to worry about filling in the gaps with the welder. It should be flush in-between all the pie cuts

does a exhaust pipe that point down sounds louder than one that points to the back of a car??
@d_kortman2 жыл бұрын
I know I’m late but absolutely. If the pipe is coming straight out of the turbo and only has maybe a foot or two of straight pipe, it’s much louder than a longer straight pipe since the longer the pipe is, the more energy it loses as it travels. The sound coming out of the pipe at the tail will have a big energy difference between the turbo and the tip of the exhaust at the back. On the other hand a much shorter exhaust will be much louder. I’m going to use a hood exit exhaust as a reference instead of a down pointing exhaust becuase that’s what I’m more acquainted with. On my car, I’m building a hood exit with a 3” turbo exit exhaust followed by a 4”expansion with about a foot of 4” stainless steel pipe, followed by a few pi cuts and about 6 inches of 4” pipe pointing up and out. With a hood exit exhaust like this, the exhaust doesn’t have much time to lose energy at all because there’s relatively no restriction on the force of the exhaust. That combined with a large diameter pipe that expands to an even larger diameter allows the sound to amplify and make it easier for the gasses to escape the turbo, decreasing the resistance that’s fighting the turbo, allowing it to spool even better. And it’s so much louder. Teehee

G-Clamp holding tube, no guard on the grinder. If that pipe gave way to grab the cutting wheel you'd be changing your undies 😂Invest in a chop saw. Stay away from Eastwood products, go for AHP

Dinxsy I was picking between the budget tig welders and went ahp seems to weld fine with arc haven’t tried tig yet due to no gas but does a good job
@dinxsy80694 жыл бұрын
@@joellofquist2537 That's the issue with budget welders, you think to yourself i'll buy the lower end of the scale but then come to realise they just suck. There's some lower end welders (Chinese/Taiwanese) that have infinite wire feed speed adjustment and Voltage but the internals just suck. At least with a well established company you have good customer support or parts. ESAB are another good company
@joellofquist25374 жыл бұрын
I do a lot of research on reviews and opinions of the products I purchase I was really interested in the Eastwood at first people said it’s good for light material only from what I can remember there was a green tig welder can’t remember the name but it was comparable to the ahp and Eastwood side by side they all where pretty similar but I think the ahp was a better choice of the three personally. I don’t think the east wood can weld aluminum and that was one of the deciding factors for me
@dinxsy80694 жыл бұрын
@@joellofquist2537 Sure is many comparable products, i see Eastwood as a rebranded company. It may not be the case, it's just their products (electrical) look and feel nasty and cheap. They're not set in a certain product line, AHP-Welding, Milwaukee Handheld power tools, etc. As they saying goes, stick to what you know.
@joellofquist25374 жыл бұрын
Dinxsy mmmm Milwaukee... I was a dewalt guy but I’ve been looking into Milwaukee and what they offer and I’m pretty sold on there products I use them at work for all metal work we burn them up occasionally but they can go through a lot more than dewalt in my opinion ...
