Hi, I've done two of these now and the cut strands pull out easily. I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong, possibly not tying the wool tightly round it?😬
@AwesomeCrafter26 күн бұрын
The key is making sure the wool is tied tight so that might be the problem. Try to make it tight and hopefully that will stop the strands from pulling out easily.

Do we need to knot the yarn onto the roll first or just start wrapping? Thank you!
@AwesomeCrafter2 жыл бұрын
Just start wrapping as a knot might catch and make removing the tubes more difficult. Hold the end until you have a few wraps and the friction should then keep it all in place as you progress to complete all the wraps. We hope this helps. Any further questions please feel free to ask away.

I use a hair brush to unravel & fluff up the wool, at the end

It doesn’t look like the one in your picture! I thought it should be much firmer?
@rizpahjael12 жыл бұрын
Scone Baker. Hi, Firmness is determined by the density of the yarn, and type. Like for example, when you see tiny pompoms on a curtain or bedskirt, they're usually quite small and the yarn is super thick. Then, as it gets washed, it usually gets matted into a poofy ball. The larger they are, the droopier it can get--unless you wind a ton of yarn around--to produce a similar effect as the tiny pompoms I mentioned. Hope this helps!

you did not mention the number of times you wrapped it around the toilet rolls ! Was that a secret you had no intentions of divulging ????? you would make a rotten teacher.

Hi Peter, the number of times to wrap is mentioned in the video between 1:00 and 1:09
