Well, I'm watching your video again as I need to brush up on my techniques for card stock modeling. I've made 2 card stock models after watching your videos years ago and learned about relief. Cheers from eastern TN

Brilliant work!! Looks so much better than just the flat version. I do have a suggestion, however, which I think would work and save a lot of time and fiddling - After the doors/windows have been cut out and the relief created, why not just glue a copy of the entire wall on the back, rather than doing each opening separately? This saves a ton of cutting/positioning and gluing. Just a thought....

how do you increase the size for 0 gauge? i know it has to go to 185% bigger, but how can I print it out like this? it keeps cutting off the ends.

I really liked your video. I have experience with models and cardboard. But your explanation during the work is very interesting. Interesting - where do you get this thick material? I print on cardboard right away ... 230gsm. True, I mainly glue transport models. Well, buildings are just like toys for a granddaughter. I am not English - but I liked your English. Thank. And good luck.

I first want to say [keep up the good work] you mentioned that you showed in another video how you broke up the roof ,, ,I've looked and can't find it can you tell me or link that video??? Thanks John
@williamconklin8746 жыл бұрын
What i did for the Roof to make it even more real i used Doll house roofing material made from real wood and glued it to the roof as you do if building a real doll house, then just paint it black and brown looks so real. just cut the roofing shingles in half when doing it.

On this video John made a comment that he was going to make a reference pop-up or pop-down to another video on how he does relief and more detailed roofs for these paper houses. He did NOT refer to any other video. Can he, would he please post the reference?

G'day John I am new to model railways....................well returning after 50 years. The print-outs as downloaded are, I presume OO gauge. I am working in N gauge. How much do I need to reduce the print-out to get the right size. Thanks Michael PS Your videos are totally captivating, sat up the other morning until 1:00 am.

How do I print these out for n scale?
@williamconklin8746 жыл бұрын
You have to reduce the print size on your printer or computer depending which printer you have, For N scale reduce 50% for HO leave it as it is. and for 0 scale you have to INCREASE by 185%

Nice to see, but when the house is ready you have drunk enough I think and a second house cannot be made, or it will be a nice fantasy house where everything is probably glued wrong. LOL
@williamconklin8746 жыл бұрын
if you have 0 gauge you can't print since it has to be enlarged 143%, you need to take it to a photo shop and have them do it, very costly nd unfair they do not mention that here, wish i could get a refund.
