@marks69283 ай бұрын
Concerning the sketchbook, maybe not just the sketchbook (though that'd be awesome), but also some pictures of some of the builds, some of the artwork you've done for The Gutterlands outside of the sketchbook, etc. Like a proper "The Art Of..." book. A book about the creation of The Gutterlands, and the creations inside it, is definitely something that I would buy.
@Bluecho43 ай бұрын
Now there's an idea. Having little four to six page sections of each "topic" of the Gutterlands. With a mix of pages from the sketchbook, showing the concept illustrations, and then pictures of the final builds. Maybe stick some lore blurbs written from the perspective of an off-worlder documenting Respite and its surrounding environment. Like a travelogue. A few quotes or excerpts from the locals for added flavor.

Yeah the Sketchbook of the Gutterlands. Developed as a record of someone stranded there
@BajkonurBobby2 ай бұрын
Thats a great idea too. Maybe with a few postcard type prints of different projects inside like. I know I'd love some prints of the buildings. LOVE those videos and have even screenshot some of them to use as background on my phone.🙂

A _long_ time ago, I watched a documentary about the making of prosthetic eyes. To make the tiny blood vessels in the white of the eye, they used red yarn fibres, which were spred out in a clear resin coat. It looked very realistic. I thought of that when watching this video. Thank you, Bill, for reminding me of that. Also, you make some of the best pustules I've seen. Now I need to figure out how to process the fact that I just wrote that sentence.

I think a sketchbook combined with fictional "The World of The Gutterlands" annotations as a kind of lore/art book to explore the setting you've created would be great. You could even have subsequent volumes as you expand the world and sketch more.
@Tunanunaa2 ай бұрын
I was thinking something like that too: You could frame it as an explorer's log or something and within the canon of the book all of the drawings are done by them to record what they've come across

Everytime I watch a vid where you show your sketchbook, I always think - "I wish I had a sketchbook like that". I'm not sure that I'd like to own yours though, it's yours, not mine, and as totally cool as yours is, I wouldn't get any sense of pride or accomplishment out of it. Maybe more vids on how you draw and sketch? Then we could make our own :)

Love your channel, I've not scratch-built/handmade a model in a very long time and I miss it. I'm a 3d artist, and I model and sculpt digitally. However, you are slowly influencing me with this infection. :) It's a good thing, as I've got a bit box for the last few months and I may make something. Sketchbook/artbook, They're the best, they're raw, with no polish, straight from the mind of the initial thoughts put down to paper. When you're ready, take your time, make and publish it, I'm sure you have fans, like me who want one. The wool thing you did for the veins for the eyes, Pure bloody genius! Chef's kiss!
