Good heavens, that "mold" was so realistic, I could almost feel my throat close up! Excellent tutorial- thanks!

those candles look so real! Wonderful work! A tip for anyone that has wood drawers that stick or drag... even real ones in your kitchen... use a candle or wax block and rub it along the track or sides. It really helps make the drawer glide.

A bar of soap works good too, even for sticky sliding glass doors. For miniature, if you're building, a bit of sanding could do the trick, not too much!

That's great to hear Catalina - so glad I could help! 😁 I'm not long into miniatures myself, so I know exactly where you're coming from - it's lots of learning, fails and problem solving, but so much fun! 🖤

I thought that fairy lights were more delicate! who knew they could be twisted etc! Thats really good to know!
@NightmaresandGummyBears2 жыл бұрын
Haha they are surprisingly hardy! The main string is just wire so can be twisted and bent as such. As long as the wiring isn't broken or cut, the power will still run through :)

Love it! The way you made the candles is so clever, I might have to try that. I've recently got some old plastic dollhouse furniture, so I'm ready to get stuck in. 😄 Just a heads up though, your title says 'alter' with an E, it should be 'altar' with an A. Only saying this so people looking for miniature altars will find your video. Thanks for the tutorial!

I'm curious as to why you didn't twist the lights first and THEN poke that small bit through the hole rather than thread through the whole lot. Incredible piece
@NightmaresandGummyBears2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! You probably could twist first if you prefer to do so 🖤 I wanted to make sure the spacing of the LEDs to the holes worked out ok before tightening everything up, as twisting the wires does shorten the length a bit.

the wax doesnt doesnt effect the electricity of the lights? Its not likely to go out from the heat of the wax?
@NightmaresandGummyBears2 жыл бұрын
No not likely, the wax isn't that hot and and cools quickly so it will not damage the wire. The LED lights themselves are already coated with glue blob, so they are safe from direct contact. As long as you're careful not to break or cut the wire, the power will still run through - it's a good idea to occasionally check they are still functioning along the way :) I've just added a link in the description to the lights that I used.
