What do you use to hold the strings .. when your have a Halo or naked drum with no face

Sam O replace each face one after the other. The rope used in adjusting the tune that is tied to the hourglass wooden structure should be used to hold the strings while changing one face of the drum. Do same thing when changing the other face

Sam O Tender calf skin. Cow in the embryonic stage is good for the face
