Instead of a 1k resistor, I would recommend adding a 50k or 100k potentiometer so that you can adjust according to the room lighting.

You should be able to swap that out with out any issues. Just check the Datasheets, make sure you match up the pins.

there is voltage divider with 10k and photoresistor transistor haves 0.6v threshold, if base-enitter voltage is smaller it will not open when photoresistor have no light, it increase ohms and voltage drop on it is higher, then transistor opens if it have light, it have low resistanse and voltage drop

It would be great if you actually told us, how it works. As looking at it now, it is hard. I believe it does kinda "NOT" operation... and puts voltage into the LED only if the photo sensor is off. But not sure how exactly the current flows.

At beginning I said it doesn't work, But now am saying it's work, the led will be high at beginning because the LDR is fasing what can be considered low light according to it size. Try different sizes of LDR and you will figure it out.

ya lo hice y no me funcionó, seguí paso a paso el vídeo, el Led solo enciende, pero no apaga;o sea como el LDR no responde,hice varias pruebas una de ellas: Probé el LDR a corriente y enseguida al(+) del Led y éste al(-) de la línea; y al cubrir el LDR el Led se apaga, ?no debería ser al revés.
