Very simple, have made these, but usually use the pressed steel ones.

Yea I also use the steel ones sometimes I just fancied making some out of some scrap wood this time.

Thanks Phill, they look plenty strong, you've shown very effectively throughout this build that you don't need to over engineer everything and with the price of timber these days it's an important lesson, a great use for timber that isn't much good for anything else too ! I've made similar brackets myself using roofing battens so a similar thickness but twice the width, with the diagonals turned by 90 degrees for added strength and easier access for screwing to a wall !

Cheers Andy much appreciated. Roofing battens are quite useful for projects like brackets as you say. Also good for making garden trellis. Quite cheap to buy too.

Nice, you could use the miter saw here. BTW , I would recommend to build a mobile stand for the table saw it will be more safe to use and easy as well.

I did think about using the Mitre Saw although I find the Table Saw faster and more accurate. I do plan on making some kind of stand for it soon It's on my to-do list.

Hi Phill, a good use of pallet wood and these shelving brackets can hold a lot of weight about 20 years ago me and my Dad made similar brackets in my Dads garage we made 9 brackets for 3 shelves and to this day they are still holding tins of paint a few tools and boxes of junk. as always a great video, catch you soon Take care

Cheers Shaun! It was fun making these brackets. Nice to see how it all looks at the end with all the stuff on the shelves. Has more meaning than just buying the brackets I am sure you agree.
