Well, I am from VietNam which is in Southest Asia. As we see each other (particularly “friends”or “acquaintances”) this question is commonly used in daily conversations: “ Have you eaten anything yet ?”. It sounds weird, I know. Here is the explanation for it: VietNam suffered a difficult period of time as the whole national economy got seriously destroyed in the past time after VietNam War . Therefore, people always asked each other that question. Because during that time, it was so hard to find anything to put in mouth.

I think you can ask that kind of question, but I heard people usually change the form, like "Have you had lunch?, dinner?...", so the question is weird just because it is translated word by word from Vietnamese :)

Good question, Emyla. 'I'm going to be boring' represents the idea that his actions (catching up on housework) will be boring. It's not his feeling (bored), but his actions which will be boring. Hopefully that helps!

@@Oxfordonlineenglish1 so basically boring is like a future tense which is still to happen or felt by the speaker right?

@@emylalanga8909 'Boring' is an adjective to describe an activity. For example: 'She thought the movie was boring'. 'Bored' is also an adjective, but to describe a feeling: 'They were all very bored during the movie'.
