I did the same using an old,light green,fuzzy sweater for my pumpkin. I used barn twine for my tie. Then I folded the top down which formed a ruffled effect around the top. Then a dab of hot glue to the center top of ruffle where I inserted a stick for stem. Underneath the ruffle( the turned down top( neck), a dab of hot glue & some Spanish moss to decorate the top of pumpkin. Since I didn't have any fake foliage, I glued a couple bay leaves( from my kitchen spices) to each side( underneath ruffle). They may look more like gourds than pumpkins but, these 2 creations have gotten compliments!! Best part no sewing!! Just make sure top( and or bottom) is secured tightly with elestic & twine.

I love Christmas for all of it has to offer but as far as decorating goes... I go a little crazy at Halloween! I have 13 totes of decorations from when we used to make themed haunted houses! I love these sock pumpkins! They have a farmhouse feel! That fits in with my decor and DIYs perfectly! I will make these for sure! I am amazed at all you can do with socks! Let’s stay in touch!
