Hello I have watched thousands of roti making videos but I never succeeded in making perfect roti But the way u explained step by step I followed two days before and tried making roti it was wonderful very soft and properly bloated rotis were made . The way u told flames position first slow then medium then high. It was really good. Nobody else explained this way.

To all the Didis in India - who were the backbone of almost every household in India _ a million thank yous. The delicious home food, the house being cleaned every day, the dusting and even sweeping the yard of dead leaves _ a million thank you. I think only in India we enjoy this lifestyle and I realize their recipes were actually the best. Your Didi would not have realized that she is influencing you in a good way and years later you are imparting that skill you watched her do for your joint family household. I really hope the Western way of life wont take over the Indian way of life. It is a holistic lifestyle and not slavery as my white friends assume when we tell them how we always had didis and the elderly to support the family.
@infodaynightconv14454 ай бұрын
I appreciate your comments but there should be no Didis to do simply all the mundane work - they are people too with desires and aspirations of their own and should not be relegated to just the difficult low tier jobs we memsahibs do not like to do. Let's each do our best to create more equality in Indo Pak Bangladesh Nepal so that Didis also can have the choice to take time off and have someone cook for them for a change. Everyone is equal so let's all build that kind of society.

There are more then 10 videos I checked to make soft rotlee, They all claim to make soft rotlee and all give more focus on how to make dough and keep it some time etc. Still I got little stiff rotlee. This is only video gave me idea about roasting it also very important. Making temperature low and then high are small details make so much big difference. I am not perfect yet. But some of my rotlees came much better. Big thanks from San Francisco.
