Calm down and appreciate the respect Quang's giving us. He appreciated our culture enough to try it. He even gave the correct name "Soul Food" instead of southern cooking. And no we don't all cook the same, northern soul food has a different taste than southern soul food. Some people put sugar in their greens, my family doesn't boil or bake their bbq. It goes straight on the grill and it's tender. So enjoy him enjoying part of our legacy to the world of cuisine and send him some recipes. I would be tickled to see him do peach cobbler. Sending love and respect to my peoples and to Quang.

@@yuhboi3968 what does your comment about soul food being invented by white people have to do with what I said?🤔 Besides that, you pick and choose what you want to read because there are comments talking about what he cooked. You're the one who wanted to vent and that's cool we all need to sometimes. 😀 Sending you some positive energy for a better week. 🤗

I agree; I've put myself on a weight loss soup diet and I gotta say, although it's healthy and foolproof, it starves my body of protein and fat which after 3 days, left me feeling depressed for a day and a half but I was able to remedy the problem with soybean and almond made protein drinks. Tomorrow, I will be able to enjoy food like that in the video throughout the week, but in moderation and I have to make it in a way that is deemed healthier.

Wrap in foil tightly and bake at 250 for 3 hours then sauce and grill or sauce and broil. Does same as boiling but instead of ending up with a flavorful pork stock in the pot all the flavor stays in the meat

You did your thing for your first time, soul food is what you make it and it is different for everyone. Everything looked good but I use smoke turkey in my greens, I don’t like mushy black eye peas but a lot of people love them like that and I don’t like to boil ribs and like just a bit more seasoning but once again it is how you like it to taste for you. You put love into it. Food looked delicious and that chicken-oh yeah. I will give you a 7 out of 10 for my taste buds and soul food flavors and a 10 put of 10 for yours. You will perfect it the more you make it. $50 is not bad considering that meal would feed an entire family

You did good, son. I'm still a little lost on the pickle, but it is all good. You and the people down below had me crying. Go ahead and open your soul food restaurant, so of the best soul food I've had was from an Asian man. There used to be a restaurant a few years back in Oakland, CA and my friend and I went because it was a soul food/Chinese restaurant. We didn't know what to expect, but it was banging! We made the waitress bring him out, because we couldn't believe someone's granny wasn't back there. He told us how his best friend in the Navy taught him how to make soul food and told him to open up a restaurant, I'm glad he listened, 'cause that was some of the best Chinese food, too. Only thing Quang, he made chitlins, you gonna have to make some of them, too. I'm a give you an eight and a half stars, wanted some rice with them black eyed peas and some cabbage, too.

😂😂 y’all are horrible! Soul food is always different. He made this to his liking. I lived in Louisiana for a few years and not ONE PLACE served or made soul food the same way. It’s called ‘soul food’ not ‘ya grandmas cookin’😂😂

It's all food, we eat and get rid of it. I'm British and never been to the US but I make soul food dinner parties from my friends(sometimes Chinese) and it tastes damn good, just because it's not from my grandmother's recipe it sure is from some Americans grandmother's recipe though. I look at it as appreciation of other cultures.

Maurio Mellz no one cares. Just enjoy it. Bringing praise to your race through foods won’t get you anything

Black Americans were not enslaved universally the were enslaved in America, the race creed and color of people who made it was VERY specific! Y'all kept quiet all over the world during slavery but now we are all brothers and sisters since its over lol.

@Ariel TheMermaid exactly, especially when they try to delete our specific culture and tradition and claim it as their own.
