Welcome back to one of my recipe videos! In today's video, we will go over how to make Starbucks Caramel Frappuccino at home! This is a pretty easy and accessible DIY recipe and tastes a lot better than the original!
⭐️ Recipe (for approximately two 12oz serving) ⭐️
1. Prepare the following ingredients and set them aside
* Double or triple shot of espresso or 1-2 servings of cold brew concentrate or 4 oz / 120mL of really strongly brewed coffee
* 3/4 cup (180mL) of milk (Starbucks uses whole milk by default but you can use whatever milk suits you)
* 2Tbsp (30mL ) of caramel syrup
* Caramel Sauce for drizzle
* 1-2 cups of ice
* Whipped cream (optional)
* 1/4 tsp of guar gum (optional) - this is a useful thickening agent and will help turn the drink very smooth and aid in incorporating the drink with the ice. Without this I found the drink would separate and become very icy after letting it sit out.
2. In the espresso/coffee of your choice, add around 15mL of caramel sauce and stir to incorporate
3. Add all the ingredients into the blender, except the guar gum if using, and blend until it has reached a smooth consistency.
4. Add in the guar gum
5. Blend again until well incorporated
6. Take a serving glass of your choice and add caramel sauce to the walls of the glass
7. Add the blended drink into the cup (leaving a little bit of space for whipped cream if desired)
8. Add whipped cream to cup
9. Add caramel sauce drizzle on top of the whipped cream
10. Serve
