tbh i love laos sticky rice more than other rice. its the perfect rice to eat with your hands. im half sri lankan too i wonder how lao sticky rice would work with south indian/sri lankan food 😳😳

Hey Saeng. I love your cooking. I want to share with you about that pot you’re using with the sticky rice basket. Is it made from aluminum? If it is it’s just as harmful as plastic. I know aluminum has been used for many generations but it’s bad. I been looking for a stainless steel one with no luck. If you like maybe you can switch over too but of course that’s entirely up to you. Only want to warn you about it for your health. That’s all. 😊

I don’t really wanna make it myself because I feel like I’m going to mess it up. I just want to eat it! By the way, I went to Champa Garden out here in the bay area and it was amazing! Actually, I’ve been there before I’ve ordered from there before, but I didn’t get the things that were specifically Laotian. This time I only ordered dishes that were specificallylabeled Laotian. I really liked everything! There were a couple different kinds of sausage that were really good. The food came with a lot of fresh herbs and veggies and I really like that a lot!

Its 9 pm and I'm craving sticky rice, papaya salad, and chicken wings now. My cousins and I all call my grandma mae. When we were little we all thought that was our grandma's name. Our mom's all called her that 😂 Its too late to change it now we're all adults 🤣

My sister and I had sticky rice in Laos and it was sooooo goooood! Much better than the one in Thailand. There was also incredible red rice.

Why does the rice not stick to that basket? Everytime I make glutinous rice it sticks to EVERYTHING. Why not here?
