It is wonderful to learn the details of the internal structures of a shoe.. and how that structure, needs to match the anatomy of the foot.

The way you explain things which are quite complex is amazing. Thank you for your generosity in sharing your knowledge. I would appreciate it a lot if you could suggest books or articles on shoe making and especially on the correct way to make patterns and materials traditionally used such as glues or pastes. I made myself some softish felt slippers and made them a bit too high for the ankle bone. Even a felt edge was uncomfortable against the bone. A stiffener exceeding the proper height at the back or sides is probably one of the main causes for ancle blisters.

Hi, want to ask a question here. So I've got this leather shoes with hard toe, but the very tip of is is somehow got softened and I cant put waxed polish on it because the polish will cracked. Any idea how to fix that softened part?
