how you can see if right foot is in center or not? I am hearing abt this technique but it looks like very hard to image your right foot with middle unless you lean bit to right and see. am I missing something?
@freemindas
@freemindas Жыл бұрын
@@newuser4101 First of all look far ahead into your lane. It sounds very simple but when you're a beginner you tend to look next to the nose of the car because you want to protect your bubble. The car looks and feels very big when you're just learning. This is the most important tip. Think of when you walk, you usually look ahead and your legs just walk you where your eyes are focused. Your right foot will be either on the brakes or gas pedal. You can position the car so your right foot is aligned with the middle of your lane. Just scan far ahead and your hand will follow your eyes. Shortly after it becomes very natural.

My way is to imagine a point in the center of the lane ahead of you and just follow that point with your car, and you will naturally keep the car in the middle of the lane. This also works if you are driving through a narrow lane or if there is a wall on your left/right. Instead of worrying about getting too close to the wall, just follow the imaginary point ahead in the middle of the road because you'll naturally keep far enough from the wall by doing so.

@@Jennytalesgist in the video they say if the sticker on the edge of the car (from the front view of the driver seat there’s a sticker on every left edge of a car) if that sticker is aligning with the road markings from the left, then you are on the center. so the commenter is saying: since the distance between the seat and the steering wheel determines how you will see the sticker on the side of the car, then if you sit very far or very close with your seat the distance will be changed. so he’s basically saying this is a wrong measure to where the center is as it can change any time you change your seat.

wow this is terrible advice, you should never be using a part of your car as an indicator of where you are at in the lane, this would be something a person who is terrible at driving would do.... proper driving would be you are looking far ahead of where you are , not even seeing the dashboard....if you are lookin far ahead then you will naturally stay in the lane. this explains why their are so many bad drivers, if you are needing to line yourself up this way you should not be driving.
@Realtorkamala555

You are correct however if you are a beginner and you don’t have this idea also you will not know what reference to fix with. This gentleman also needs to add to look far and compare the car pointed dashboard part in the video and secondly keep on fixing. Last tip when you hold the steering too tight looking far will hardly work. If you folllow those three tips it will work 1. hold steering firmly 2. Look far 3. Compare with mid dashboard Those 3 tips should be applied all together in order for a beginner car to stay in lane.
