I’m happy I found this. The Kruel-boy mini of the month for September 2024 was out of my wheelhouse (I just started with the Kill Team Krieg in August so I’m new to Warhammer 40k). Thanks for the great tutorial!

Those bases are simple yet amazing. I have been wondering how to do the swamp look without buying all clear resins and things. Loved it

Thanks for this video. I was able to easily recreate these bases. Only difference was I used UV resin to make the water areas a bit more pronounced. I shared with my gaming club and another guy is already using the same method for snow bases. The paste from Hugeminis is a bit of a miracle product. Wish I knew about it 5 years ago!

Hello. Very useful and not too complicated ! Perfect for gutrippaz. Could you share the color pattern use for the gutrippaz flesh at the intro ? I really like it as it differs from the usual one. Thanks in advance

Thank you! So do exactly like in this video EXCEPT use Coelia Greenshade for the shade coat (not Gryphcharger Grey). Keep in mind, they've reformulated the shade paints since the video was made and I find the new ones waaaay more transparent so you may need more than one coat. Hey, Huge, can we expect to see a restock on the Dirt soon?

Tried this today but with using AK's muddy ground and water gel swamp green, the process is the same except for you skip the wash on the land, still paint where the water will be with death world forest, and then put the swamp green water gel down and it looks fantastic. The downside to texture paints is that it is pretty slow drying so do these in large batches of mini's for the sake of each step the first base should be dry by the time you finish the last one. On only six bases it means a lot of downtime waiting for stuff to dry.

Putting the wet bases under a cheap little fan can help expedite the drying process exponentially 🙂 www.lowes.com/pd/Comfort-Zone-6-in-Quiet-Portable-Indoor-2-Speed-Desk-Fan-with-Clip-and-Fully-Adjustable-Tilt-in-White/5000885813?cm_mmc=shp-_-c-_-prd-_-plb-_-ggl-_-PLA_PLB_171_Air-Circulation-_-5000885813-_-online-_-0-_-0&ds_rl=1286981&gclid=CjwKCAiA3L6PBhBvEiwAINlJ9FdgqT_1-5cMRDh9u5ceM4CU63oRDd8oWUfL_StHVvcAZjukF33dsBoCOlEQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

Nice job! All of the other videos I saw involved epoxy which doesn't seem very easy to do on an entire army. This is perfect for a troop choice.

This was a great tutorial, the crater you made for the front tuft reminded me of a catfish den in a creek before you put the tuft in. Really a believable base.......😁

Love those bases, and the Dirt Product too. I ordered the bundle from their store! (by the by, the discount code did not work for me, no biggie, just letting you know)
@DarcyBonoCreations3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Bill! And thank you as well for letting me know about the code. I think (and I'll double check with HugeMinis), that since the bundles are already at a discount, that coupons may not work with them. I'll be sure to put a disclaimer in the description 🙂. Really appreciate you letting me know!
@BillsravingrantBlogspot3 жыл бұрын
@@DarcyBonoCreations Good point, had not thought of that. Double discount thing... I am really liking the 'grungy water' effect on the base. been looking for that effect for a while! Thank you! (as an aside, I'm using a little UV resin and curing it on the spot, looks ... ummm... deeper?)
@DarcyBonoCreations3 жыл бұрын
YES! I actually used Vallejo Water effects on some of mine where I built the shoreline up a bit more. I was going to show that as well, but didn't want to add too much to the video length. I should have at least mentioned it though 😅. And thank you

This is a helpful guide. Out of curiosity, the Orruks look a little bit bluer than the skin used on the Hobgrots. Is this true? If so, what colors did you use? Also, what colors did you use for the robes? Really liking those!

Haha well I don't post videos very often. And Insta doesn't let me post links in the images so I have to do them as stories... and they disappear 😮💨. A usually keep the newest pinned in my highlights but the visibility is minimal so it's not you!
