i am happy to hear many people saying that. no one ever made this octopus because it is not a proper way of eating takoyaki. but i'm glad i did that. hehe

My mom recently came back from China and she brought me a takoyaki pan because takoyaki is my favourite food! And my dad made it a few days ago, but then they tasted like waffles. Salty waffles, at that. And the music for the last part: isn't that soul bossa nova from austin powers?

In Osaka they call it AKASHIYAKI, It's like sister of Takoyaki. It looks almost the same as Takoyaki. But Akashiyaki has a softer, more eggy texture compared to Takoyaki. The way of eating is also different. You dip into soup. The flavor of this soup is really mild. I like it!!

Love your easy recipes! My boyfriend bought me a pan like that (I think it was for a European pancake dish but whatever works!) but I was always too intimidated to try making takoyaki. I'm lucky that there's a Mitsuwa market not 10min from me so I'll buy the premixed flour and other ingredients and try it out! Thanks again for your lovely recipes!!
