How to make (temporary) filters for GP-5 gas mask (OLD CHECK DESC)

In today's video I am showing you how to make your own homemade filter for your GP-5 gas mask!
Note
These filters are temporary and won't last forever.
Also they probably won't block a hole lot of stuff so I recommend these for mostly prop use only.

the filter is an A or organic vapor filter possibly an inorganic vapor filter and yes I meant to say A

How were you able to take the bottom of the can off? im interested in making one of these.

I used old cans that were already opened in our basement. Any empty can of your preference should be fine.

The small one is glued but the bigger one I just stuck the lid on and it friction fitted on. If you find a can you like, once you've put everything inside you can glue the lid on the bottom.

my question to you is I have a special gas mask adapter I think it says its to be filled with cotton so how bout as a proposal I put cotton put an activated charcoal furnace filter cut to size and than another cotton? thoughts please thank you

I dont think just a furnace filter would be enough charcoal to actually block anything and the cotton probably wouldn't do much either. I recommended getting p3 filters to cut to size for your can of choice and aquarium charcoal like as shown in the video. Thanks for the comment. Ty

all I can say is I dont know as it said the furnace fillter was designed for air purifiers???

The furnace filters are mainly for air particles. To block any airborn chemicals you would need more charcoal then what is in those simple filters.

I looked up about this e6000 glue you said you were using on your filters apparently this stuff is extremely toxic to inhale it could cause cancer dizziness headaches or nausea
