It is a beautiful angel but, I saw this video on someone else's channel months ago, I do believe she is the original designer. Funny she said the same thing you said about her husband holding the pieces till she found out she could use the bow dauber. But it did turn out great!

Every time I glue a bell on the little ball inside ends up being glued as well

Yes, I have had that happen a time or two myself. You can always hold the bell and turn her upside down so the ball falls to the bottom.
