World's best Baked Beans! Review & How To Cook
In this video I ask google to give me the recipe for the best Baked Beans in the world! This is the recipe it gave me and I cooked it. Watch this video to see if it really is the most yummy recipe in the world, and also to see how to cook it yourself!
Ingredients
2 sliced bacon, diced
1 small sweet onion, diced
1 bell pepper, diced
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoon smoked paprika
1/4 TO 1/2 teaspoon chipotle chili powder
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons BBQ sauce
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoon dijon mustard
1 tablespoon brown sugar
2 (22 ounce) cans baked beans (I love Bush’s Grillin’ Beans for this recipe)
2 slices bacon, for topping (optional)
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
Heat a large (oven safe, if you don’t want to transfer) skillet over medium-low heat and add the bacon. Cook until it’s brown and crisp and most of the fat is rendered.
Stit in the onion, pepper and garlic. Cook, stirring often, until everything softens, about 5 minutes. Stir in the paprika, chili powder, salt and pepper. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes. Stir in the vinegar, BBQ sauce, ketchup, mustard and brown sugar until combined.
Stir in the baked beans directly from the can. Bring the mixture to a boil, then turn off the heat. I suggest tasting the beans here and adding more salt, pepper or heat if desired. If you'd like, you can lay a few strips of bacon on top of the beans here too!
Place the skillet (or transfer to an oven-safe dish) in the oven and bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until bubbly and syrup. Remove and let cool slightly before serving.
You can make these ahead of time - cook them in the skillet then let cook to room temperature and cover, placing in the fridge. Bake the next day (or whenever you’re ready!).
These also freeze well! Here are some of my favorite Products - Affiliate Links below

Many studies have shown that wood cutting boards are naturally anti bacterial while the cuts in plastic boards harbor bacteria. I love your videos because you are endlessly entertaining and a have a personality that everyone can love. Keep it up cooking and reselling videos.

Let me start off by saying I absolutely love your sense of humor and your cooking! Couple of unsolicited tips here. I detest chopping bacon with a knife. Bust out kitchen shears and just go to cuttin' and toss the shears into the dishwasher. I have numerous wooden cutting boards that I oil with plain old pharmacy mineral oil every three months. After chopping/cutting, I clean using dish soap, hot water and a scrub brush. Then I spray with hydrogen peroxide and let dry to sterilize. Never had a problem, as I knock on said cutting board!

Oh my gosh. I love the trash to cash podcast so I decided to finally watch Dave cooking. Not quite half way and I am laughing out loud. I too am not a professional chef but love cooking. I also never stop talking so I feel like this is what my internal monologue would sound like out loud. Thanks for the entertainment Dave. Ps scissors are a quick way to chop raw bacon

Yum You can also wet three pieces of paper towels and put them on the cutting board so you don't cry when cutting onions.

I use kitchen shears to cut my bacon. Snip it easy and fast. I also use them on things like green onions cause it cuts straight through them, frozen pizzas and sandwiches from the sandwich maker.

That was probably thick sliced bacon. If so, precook for a bit first then lay across the top. Otherwise use regular sliced bacon. Great video and I love to watch your everyday ole Joe technique’s. Very entertaining and I copy the recipe and put it in my list. Thanks.

If you freeze your bacon it will slice easily. Also, a damp towel under your cutting board will prevent slippage and digit loss. A couple final minutes under the broiler setting would help to crisp up the bacon how you wanted it. I'm requesting panzanella salad next, while tomatoes are in season.

Was so happy to see a new cooking video pop up! I Like that all the steps - chopping etc are filmed. Beans certainly looked yummy! Back when i did cook, I would precook 5-6 slices of bacon until just done (usually micrwave) then when cool cut into about 1 inch pieces and arrange on top of beans before cooking . Thanks for the show - never are you boring,!

If you're using the entire onion, cut the ends off and cut it in half first-it will be easier to peel. And chicken should be cut on a dedicated plastic cutting board, reserve it for chicken only. Any other meat can be cut on a wooden board.

I know this is an old video but you should get a chopper. I found one at Walmart, you cut onions in half or so and drop it in and pull a cord to chop It works well.

Be careful with adding the garlic at the same time as the onion and peppers. If the garlic browns, it can become quite bitter whereas the onions and pepper actually can add flavor with the longer cooking.

I love what you do man.... much respect ....in the same time I feel like this video should be like 7 or 8 minutes long not half an hour..... the vegetables they should be cut before you start filming same with the meat it's I don't think your viewers they have 30 minutes to spend in front of the screen to just see how to cook beans .... Personally when you start peeling the onions I'll just switch to another channel but in the same time Hey much respect to you and what you do I just feel it should be shorter than that ...good luck..

Total business expense for the knives. We have a second kitchen downstairs and since we don’t use it I’ve thought about setting it up for cooking videos on my other channel. Even the ingredients can be written off if you want to write down what you used for each video. Those electric can openers get so nasty. People never clean them. Eww. Not to mention spending the time to get the can on there right uses up enough time to open three cans. Hey the Brits eat pork and beans for breakfast. I never understood that. I would definitely try this recipe. There is a recipe for Dollywood baked beans that is really good. It’s got ground beef in it. I would have turned the broiler on the bacon if your pan could handle it. I wasn’t subscribed on this channel. I don’t know how. I am on my other though 🥰
