My hometown! Cold on the outside, warm on the inside.

That is true! What is Harbin like in summer?
@cz24404 жыл бұрын
@@GoYvon Very cool and comfortable. It will be a good weather condition to visit outdoor sites and don't have to worry about the battery dies in the cold weather. Wetlands, Siberian tiger park, street music shows on Zhongyang Street. Harbin Beer festival (a seasonal food and music festival) will be held at the same place as ice n snow festival in winter. And Harbin metro line 2 will open by the end of this year which will take you there.

So lucky that the virus hadn't happened at this time. Such stunning scenery, the sculptures at night are amazing. I wish I went here when I was living in China. The tubing looks amazing fun. -20 degrees celsius, that is insane.
@GoYvon4 жыл бұрын
The temperature was so low, it was really cold! I'm glad too that things were still normal then. Or, nothing about the virus had made it to the news yet.

I would love to see the Winter/Ice Sculptures festival. So lucky that you got to go before everything got shut down. I love Tanghulu when I was young, but you won't be able to eat it in winter :) That's a rookie mistake.
@GoYvon4 жыл бұрын
Yup, that was a terrible, but funny, mistake! Super happy I was able to go on this trip. Not sure when I can travel again...

I want to go back to Harbin again! I remember taking the cable car, but next time I want to walk as well. The snow town is sooo cute. I didn't know about it when I visited Harbin. It seems like it could be worth staying there for a couple of days. I was eating so much ice cream in Harbin. It feels a bit weird to eat ice cream when it's so cold but I never say no to ice cream. Great video as always! /Marion - Dreamy Travel Story

Thanks Marion! Miguel found out about the snow town. I was going to make it a quick weekend trip, but he wanted to stay longer and found all these great things. I'm glad he did cause we haven't been able to travel since!

Now is the best time to travel to China as it has lifted non-essential travels from January 8 while issuance of all types of visas resumed from March 15.

Wow, can't believe how tall and wide the sculptures are. The festival looks really amazing. Love the lights! And great tip about getting the feet warmers. Snow Town really does look like a fairy tale!

I am in harbin but I want to explore more and more .harbin is really a cold place. Nice trip instruction, ice sculptures+Ice city + snow park+snow village+ central street all these are very very beautiful places. I hope we will watch more beautiful video through your Channel.

Thanks Wazir, I'm glad you enjoyed watching the video. It is indeed a very cold place, I couldn't live there! Have you been to the China Snow Town yet? I'll be sharing more of China in the future for sure!

GoYvon I haven’t been to that place like a paradise on Earth. It was in my plans to go there but unfortunately due to corona virus I dismiss. Now my concentration is on my own safety. When the virus is under control then I will start to explore more and more. Where are you these days.

Love the introduction and the idea of voting in the community tab! And yes, for sure we would love to check out Harbin ice festival someday. Is it expensive in Harbin? I would love to see some kind of prices references (ie. hotel, admission fee) and how cold is it? The meat kebab looks amazing! Keep up the great work - love seeing how your travel videos have improved tremendously.
@GoYvon5 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I wanted to do something different and I thought this was a nice way of getting my community involved. The second most voted option was a drone video, that will come out Wednesday. Harbin wasn't too expensive, at least it is cheaper than Beijing I'd say. Admission was about $35US I think. It was pretty cold, about -25 degrees C.

Wahhhh! One thing I wanted to do is make a trip to Harbin. I'm living in Beijing and I definitely need to visit there before leaving. Thanks alot of all the good tips. I think you said it was Jongyan street - it looks so cute....and cold . Woah, you can walk across the river. Ugh this looks like a dream. I absolutely love the snow and ice sculptures! The cable car ride had an awesome view of the city as well. Seeing people make them...just wow. The cathedral looks amazing and that ice cream.... I'm going to actually mark that down.

Make a list! It's worth a trip and fighting the cold as it is really spectacular to see all the snow and ice sculptures.

Very pretty to watch but coming from the farthest southern parts of the U.S. I don't think I could get past the temperatures. The military theme restaurant though I find appalling. The world needs more peace not threats of war.
@GoYvon5 жыл бұрын
My husband is from the southern part of the US and he was okay. Just wear lots of layers! I'm with you, we don't need more war, but this restaurant stood out between all the other ones. It was something different.
