measurements can be 3- 4 tables spoons per cup of water or just stir the borax in and let it dissolve til its not dissolving all the way anymore. let this solution cool to room temp before using.

okay i need to get this cleared up is it possible for borax to dissolve in cold water when you use it in your laundry as a water softener? my question is for a top loader with an agitator. i use 1/2 cup of borax in cold water which temperature is 30C which translate to 85F would the borax technically be able to dissolve because the water being used is of a larger quantity than the 1/2 cup of borax?

Yes I use the borate (agriculture grade) it get dissolved in the boiled water, but so disappointing it back to crystal like form when I let it Cool down
