How to make this Retro Plastic effect in Photoshop!

In this video I'm going to demonstrate how to use the Inner and Outer bevel functions in Adobe Photoshop to create a subtle embossed effect on your text and graphics. This is commonly done in Y2K styled artworks and can be seen nowadays a lot.

When I add the drop shadow to the text and up the size, the shadow cuts off below the letters. Any reason as to why the drop shadow cuts off in a straight line ?
