It is not the same You divide by 6.28 if you want to cut a full circle flare, and you divide by 3.14 to give you a half circle flare

2:35 Do you know why there is always zipper allowance even tho you didn't add? It's because you cut the exact waist measurements of the fabric so by the time you will start sewing, you go in by ½" so by default you have increased you waist widenes.
