Really helpful tutorial I was struggling to find a tree tutorial without pngs. If your branches don't grow from the tree just set the origin point of the branch to it's root.

If we are using blender build in functions to make the scene, why not use sapling tree gen addon that comes installed in blender??

That's actually more efficient, but i wanted to teach a "traditional" way of modeling trees, since this video is a part of a broader beginner course For the most part at work, i use addons and assets

35:24 when i select the instance object to be a branch they are all looking down and are mostly inside the tree I do not know why the branch does not follow the hair like it does here

I generally wouldn't recommend a laptop, but a stationary machine (although people are doing it on laptops anyway and they're fine) But if it's good for gaming, it'll be good for 3D animation, so just get a gaming pc :)
