Hello there - great to hear from you 💚and it’s always good to just give it all a go and see how you get on - Our garden is very wild at the mo as John has broken his leg but he is on the mend and it shouldn’t be too long before we get out again: if the rain would stay away as we are having a very damp summer! Hope all good with you and your family 😊 All the best Melanie 🌸

Good video thanks. I started a leaving our back lawn to grow 2 yrs ago with lots of oxe eye daisy coming through and a couple of bee orchids. I am planning a annual meadow in another part of the garden for next yr but unsure when best time of to sow it will be. ? Cheers Duncan

@@dunkhooper Hello Duncan Thank you for watching and for your kind comment and question For your annual meadow if you are planning hardy plants sow in the autumn but if you are planning to have non-hardy plants sow in the spring We hope this helps and have a great rest of the week All the best John and Melanie 🌸

Could the failure of the annual meadow to germinate be partly down to that they prefer fertile soil, unlike the wildflower meadow which prefers poor soil.
@JohnHorseyHorticulture Жыл бұрын
Hello BudgieFan39 - thank you for watching our video and for your question 💚 germination is affected mainly by temperature and moisture but subsequent growth after germination is affected by nutrients We hope this helps Have a great week All the best Melanie and John 🌸
