I can see through the paper. Sometimes I crease the center of my image as well, to help center on the ornament- just a light crease though, or it will show when pressed. Hope this helps.

Can we use a Cricut press?

I assume a Cricut auto heat press would work the same. I do not have that press. I do not recommend a Cricut easy press though.
