Davinci text has a property called "write" that does this automatically.

After Effects has that too, and it's actually called "Typewriter". I have no idea why someone would do it this way, much less name their tutorial after the animation preset they should have used instead.

Just checked, and they already posted a tutorial on the preset over a week ago. Hey OP, what am I missing? Is there a good reason to go through all these extra steps? Are you just trolling?
