In Sweden, our pancakes all called “pannkaka”. They’re less sweet than American pancakes, & also not as thick (but thicker than French crepes!) We top them with fresh cream & usually lingonberry jam. Lingonberry jam is hard to explain if you’ve never had it. The closest thing to it I guess it would taste like would be cranberries, but lingonberries are more sweet & berry like.

In German we say Pfannkuchen, but I am from Austria and we have a similar food called Palatschinke and it's similar to a pancake but way thinner and it's served a little differently the way it's severed is more similar how crepe are served unless you don't sweeten it then you can also put Palatschinke in soup or you make Fleischpalatschinken which personally remind me of burritos. Also another Austrian food similar to Pancakes Kaiserschmarrn it's like a huge pancake you rip apart and dip in jam or other sweet sauces
