The tip re: different types of the same snare is a game changer. Also your point about using the vowels in the vox chops and fading them out to be smoother. Such good knowledge. Subbed.

I don't understand it, I every single UK garage related song I see has so much love for it. Yet its not even close to popular. People always say it was popular from 2000-2002 but like.... thats 3 years. That's not long at all. It's so underrated.
@beandinner1262 Жыл бұрын
It's still very popular in the UK lol. You often hear it on commercial radio. Modern deep house also borrows a lot of stuff from UK garage.

@monkaeyes3417 I'm not sure where you're from and who told you that, but 2step garage has been around since about 1996-7 it got ruined when crews like so solid took it to a darker place then when grime came out so did the violence in clubs and at parties which led to places being closed and the police actually putting a ban on it to a certain extent and slowly but surely people moved over to house. Its a shame cos the pirate radio days were banging.

NonWeary, I tend to find it difficult to find samples - mainly drums, but samples in general as well. Where do you go to find the drum samples that fit the sound you're going for? I know Splice has plenty of options, but I hear you can find free samples online if you know where to look. My problem being I don't know where to look. Thank you!
