I accidentally bent my charging cable's plug, I bent it so much, that it shorted out, my PC started shutting down, and today, my phone refused to charge past 30% and my charger was crazy hot. So, I bought a USB doctor, and I found out that the bent port was internally shorted. Luckily I still had a high quality cable from my old broken phone, so it didn't cost me anything. If I had this device, I would've found the issue much faster and save my devices from possible short circuit damage. Charger still works fine, so does the PC.
