Love your channel...always such great stuff. Planning to try this one this morning! Keep up the great work! And yes, adding black pepper for help with turmeric absorption.

It's called Kurkuma latte here in Germany and it's going to be the next big thing. :D I like it best with rice milk, turmeric, ginger and nutmeg. And I'm hooked on it since my first try.
@cookingwithplants8 жыл бұрын
Yes, kurkuma is the german word for turmeric :-) Lecker!!!!

random question, do u know the difference between nutritional yeast and brewers yeast???? i can only find brewers yeast in my stores
@cookingwithplants8 жыл бұрын
The difference is that with nutritional yeast, the Saccharomyces Cerevisiae is not obtained from the brewing industry but is grown on molasses or some other medium. As is true with making Brewer's Yeast into a nutritional supplement, Nutritional Yeast is deactivated, dried and made into a powder or flakes.

Thank you for sharing!!! I've been using turmeric powder in my morning smoothies,and love the benefits. I just found a store near me selling fresh turmeric,can I ask how long does it stay good in the fridge? Also should I go with the same amount as the powder,1 tsp a day? Thanks!!
@cookingwithplants8 жыл бұрын
It should last about a week in the fridge. I would say 1 to 2 tsp of fresh would be great.

I add turmeric to my morning smoothie. I'm thinking if I were to strain this, I could save the strained bits & pop it into my smoothie the next morning.

Yes! have fresh turmeric root in my fridge waiting to be used... turmeric's supposed to make a superb facial -should I eat it... or should I slather it on my face...weekend conundrum!
@Dr.CorneliaKratzer8 жыл бұрын
Great Idea! :)
@cjanezic62238 жыл бұрын
Be careful if you use it as a facial. It will stain your skin orangy-yellow and will take at least a day to wash away.
@Dr.CorneliaKratzer8 жыл бұрын
that's what I used to think too- but all tutorials on turmeric facials maintain that it does not stain- incld looking at the after-facial images

Binny, the coined phrase latte is perfectly suitable for any hot drink comprising milk, be it plant based, no matter how long said beverage has been in existence... and besides, as pointed out by the owner of the channel, have you even watched the video?
