You’re opening the jump rings wrong. At the split in the ring, pull one side away from the other. Not further apart as you are doing, but away from front to back. Then to close the ring just squish it together with the flat pliers. One simple motion. It’ll make the jump rings easier to work. Also, use a pin to score the paper on the back of the paper near an edge. Roll the the paper back on itself a little bit and most of the time an edge of paper will pop up enough to grab and peel away from the vinyl. I have a pressing ‘cloth’ that I use for ironing on things like this. I goy mine from Joann’s but I’m sure it’s available online. Hope this makes things easier for you.

Think those jump rings are 6mm not 16. Also jewelry "pieces" are called "findings". Thanks for sharing the idea!

My pressing ‘cloth’ is made of Teflon. Also, draw your shape on the paper first, then cut it out. Peel off the paper and use the Teflon sheet to press onto the fabric. Remember the shape is reversed.

You're opening and closing the jump rings wrong. You use two jewelry pliers to twist the jump rings slightly in the opposite direction just enough to open the jump ring then you close it using the same steps in the opposite direction. Other then that this was a clever video for using scrap batik and vinyl. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the tip. I have since learned that. I rarely make jewelry but these were so much fun. I’m glad you enjoyed the tutorial and appreciate the advice!

How much do you sell them for?
@CreatewithClaudia3 жыл бұрын
I don't sell them so I wouldn't know how to price them at. But thanks for watching. I appreciate it.
