I LOVE this tutorial Carrie, it’s absolutely adorable, you did an excellent job on all of them but most definitely the last one. Thank you for taking the time for us, I have worried that you might not find what you need if you wait too long. ♥️🦃

I made a jig out of a scrap piece of 2 x 4 and some brads … takes just a couple minutes to wrap and lift off and makes fairly consistent trees!

This is great feedback and I so appreciate that. In the past, I’ve gotten so frustrated while learning something from a KZbin video (and I’ve watched a lot on many diff things!) and not have any idea what was going on! 🤣🤣 Happy Thanksgiving!

@@carriefoscatodesign I agree!! Many KZbinrs are still working on their instructions. I'm sure it's a lot of work to make it clear and concise! Close ups and discussion of what you are doing is perfect!! New subscriber here!!

Thank you so much. I am just a beginner. So when you started the twist trunk and you swapped the wire over. Could you have just turned the tree part over then you could twist the way that is more comfortable. Or is there something I am not quite understanding. Like I said just a beginner. I love your videos so easy to follow. Thank you. From Australia

Hi to you down under! 🌏 good question! If I had turned it over, the wires would have been in the exact same position. How do I know this, you say? Because I thought to myself, “oh I can just turn this over!” Haha - wrong! 🤣I wish I could though! That would save me that fear of bending up what I’ve just created. But it went ok because I was holding the tree very firmly. I love that you’re just learning and trying something new! I’ll be here to try and help in any way I can! Happy creating 🤗💚✨🧡

@ I knew there must be a reason. Thank you. For getting back to me. I really don’t know enough about this craft yet but loving it. Thank you for taking the time to reply. From the land down under ❤️

Of course! Not too long ago I was a fresh new beginner so I always have that in mind in videos so that people will be successful but not upset if it doesn’t work the first time. Sometimes you just need to get the feel. In many ways, it’s like crochet if you’ve ever done any of that. You must become one with the wire 🤣🤣
@123000chrissyАй бұрын
Hi. I'm new with wire wrapping can I ask why all the 18g and 20g wires on all these videos look much stiffer and more sturdy than mine?? I have 18g copper craft wire and it's so bendy??
@carriefoscatodesignАй бұрын
Hi! So glad to have you! Most likely your wire is a dead soft wire…but you can do what is called “work hardening” with a nylon hammer or pliers to stiffen. I prefer starting with dead soft and then work hardening at certain points during the process. But I think mostly people use a temper of wire called Half Hard, which has some stiffness which may be what you’re seeing. See if it says anything like dead soft wire on your wire packaging. Dead soft is perfect for the Christmas tree earrings though and then use a nylon hammer and bench block to strengthen. Hope some of that info helped, and happy creating! 🤗💚✨🧡
