Hello Drewrees! I hope everyone is doing well!
Today we are showing you how to prepare our Ghana toogbei, the big crunchy and dry bofrot! I am showing you how to make the yellow version! It’s very simple to make!
Here are the ingredients:
4 cups of plain flour (500gr)
1/4 cup melted butter (60gr)
1/2 cup sugar ( 90gr to 100gr) I used 90gr for this recipe
1/2 cup warm evaporated milk (125ml)
1/4 + 1/4 warm water (so 1/2 cup in total used separately) (60ml+ 60 ml)
1tsp vanila essence or pineapple flavour
1/2 tbsp yeast
1tsp nutmeg powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 to 1/2 tsp turmeric powder use 1/4 if you dont really like its taste
1 egg
oil for deep frying
