Bruh, I just recently bought a 13 TL base 3.5L with 105k. It was mainly only driven inner city and had a saved average speed of 16. I live out in the boonies with lots of hills and windy roads. Transmission shifted super late and would sometimes just like lock itself in high gears causing what felt like a shudder when I needed it to downshift. Just did this and it shifts like a new car, fast and always right where I need it to be. Subscribing now. I was damn close to dropping it off at a trans shop for a rebuild lol. Thank you!

I got a 2012 Acura MDX. I had swapped out the battery and noticed the transmission was slipping between 2-3 gear, thought it was my transmission going bad. I saw this video, completed the reset and runs like normal now. 😊😊

Duddddeeee……this actually worked! lol Just skimming through for things about my 13’ MDX. Thanks g. Been studying all your videos. Got a question for you. I just got a type s 08. I changed the pressure switches but havent done the transmission fluid change yet. I was having hard shifts and jerking which are gone now since i have changed the switches and reset transmission. BUT im still having that studder between 20 and 40 occasionally when im pressing the throttle lightly.. i also tightened the throttle line thats by the strut bar that you posted too. Jus tryina c if i should keep an eye out to tweak anything else. Thanks in advance 🙏🏼

Replace the transmission fluid like 2 times will get rid of the shudder I had it to replace the fluid 2 times and it went away and never came back .

Good luck with those! If you're having jerking/harsh shifting issues in 2nd gen TL's, I'm sorry to tell you even a rebuild won't help you. It'll help temporarily, but it will always come back. I would say those were Honda's biggest blunder, but we do have the modern 1.5 junk & whatever the hell is going on with all of the stop sale recalls with pistons going thru blocks & all the other ones I can't bother to remember.

Thanks for this video. I have accord 2004 CL7. This is doing upshifting well but at fixed parameters. Even it wasn't happening before. And one thing more my car downshift 3 gear to 1 gear. This is not get in second. But in upshifting it goes respectively.

Type S is a lot more thirsty (fuel), stiffer, responsive, & aggressive. Well worth it imo. May be wrong, but I think Type S suspension bolts right on to Base. '04-'06 are slightly different chassis then '07-'08 though.

Replaced trans solenoid liner it now jerks hard put in reverse sounds like it needs a motor mount wasn’t having this problem before I replaced the solenoid liner will this help? 99 TL

@@fabolousg4ever like I'm up schitt Creek right now because I can't drive the car I mean the studs are definitely going to need replaced my wheel is barely even on the hub I have like three lug nuts holding it on and they're not even under that great so I'm going to have to try to get them five replaced and then I bought a whole new set of brake pads and performance rotors and here Amazon sent me the wrong road is so now that's delayed till Friday so I'm just trying to think what the best way to do you know how to get this done.

I did the 3x3 trans fluid change on my 07 type s around the end of last year, but did not do this step. I also changed both pressure switches back in 2018. Can I still do this trans reset step and notice any improvement?

I had the same issue yesterday. It happened on a rainy and flooded day. I disconnected the ECU that is located behind the power steering reservoir. The connectors were full of oil, grease and water. I cleaned it and let it dry all day. Also I cleaned the gear selector sensor because i had a weird DTC that says multiple gears simultaneously detected.
