For anyone trying to do this, bake it for 30 minutes in the oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for it to take set after you stretch it, otherwise it will compress back down to original length or potentially even get worse than original. If the spring has a coating on it you might want to do this with an oven you don't cook with.

This will not work well. Since the piston will move the same distance no matter how long the spring. Besides, replace it with a thicker spring or 2 spring overlayed within the other.

The guys i play with and i usually use gas and aeg guns and something we do is just get longer more resistant springs. For the gas rifles we usually just get a spring from a real gun but fot a springer id find some way to add more pressure because if you can strech the spring over time the spring is more then likely going to go back to its original length which after a while will exhaust the spring and may cause it to break so if you have something to put in behind it to make each shot more explosive give it a little more force you know that would probably be your best bet.

Pre compression destroys your spring... So you have "better" power for the first month and then your spring will get really weak

It depends on the airsoft model and specific part. Some are steel on the major parts, but most are probably cheaper pot metal cast (I checked one of mine that's all metal, and it doesn't seem to have much ferrite or iron content based on the low magnetic attraction). Barrels for example are sometimes aluminum in cheap spring powered airsoft, but nicer models will have steel. Accessories such as the magwell flare on mine is definitely aluminum (Army Armament R30) and its lower housing I don't think is aluminum but some similar strength metal with a stronger metal for its rail system that's bolted into it. That's not too bad, as some real 1911 pistols like its replicating have aluminum lowers, but its definitely cheaper on the toy as you would expect from a $60 toy compared to $600 real one.

You lose power when you stretch a spring out. The spring is now longer witch means it needs more room to travel. By stretching the spring in the same existing cylinder and piston length you now loss the full potential energy of the spring.

The spring wont lose its power but the durability of it. Because before he stretched the spring, the spring was already in its actual form. By deforming the spring he actually re-arrange the strength of the spring but not evenly so that means some part of that spring is in a state of rest position and some of it must do double effort to react and counter react.

I did this alot on airsoft pistols the trouble is if it was to cheap it would break apart from a desert eagle m9 and a desert eagle spring powered aug the aug was realy powerful it broke glass, garden knomes and shot through the bottom of a can like butter with 0.12g and I might do this to my m805b aeg and see how much power I can get out of it for when I start airsoft

First, spring like that will likely bend and not fit into your gearbox + it will brake piston. Two, springs in aegs are hard as hell and you are probably too weak to do anything with it. Even m90 is too hard to do that with it, not mentioning ones like my m150 or m190 in sniper rifle which would work as goddamn bike suspension.

[EASY] Only Spring Airsofts: Step 1. Open the airsoft. Step 2. Look after a thick (kinda long) piece. Step 3. Remove the piece (it can be more than 1). Step 4. Replace your airsoft back to normal. Step 5. Your finished! Now it shoots strong and fast.

i tuned one with a friend we stretched the spring and pressed 2 smaller and weaker spring in the big one. it was incredible hard to relouad but u could shoot throug an bb can wich was full and after the 7th shot the gun(completly out of abs) blew up in my hand and the front looked like a banana 😂 it was a hell of an "explosion" :D

this is Fake it wouldn't make the gun more powerful, the spring is tighter and when you pull the spring it loses some of its strength because the particles are more compact, so when you pull the spring it loses its potential energy within the spring, also after a while the mechanism will break due to the mechanism on the trigger cant support the greater force in the guns internals.

KWC makes a few spring airsoft pistols that shoot .12 gram BB's around 330 fps...I have a KWC Sig Sauer gsr 1911, Sig Sauer p226 and a Taurus PT-92(metal slide) that are all definitely much more powerful than my other spring airsoft pistols. I tried to increase power of my crosman gameface gfm311 by replacing the main spring with one from a 300 fps umarex Walther PPQ, and it did work since .20 gram BB's penetrate a cardboard box now instead of just denting cardboard, but it isn't as powerful as the KWC pistols.
