Great, simple, informative, to the point, with a closeup marked up image of where to cut at the leaf node. GREAT WORK! Thank you for taking the time to make this video, I am going to use this technique on our mint plants!!!

Thank you so much! I have a terrible looking mint plant. I’ve not been giving it nearly as much water as I should be, not trimmed it once and have been harvesting it wrong. I have full trust that it will look WAY better in a few days after seeing your video😊

YES thank you! Finally a video about an older plant instead of the perfect newly bought plants. I have had a mint plant for over 10 years now, that I got from a cutting from my mom, who got it from a cutting of her neighbour who brought it over from Morocco. It is the best and strongest flavoured mint I EVER tasted, but my plant is never full and big. When I give away a cutting, it always becomes a great plant but my original plant has small and tiny stems and leafs. I keep it alive thankfully... but just barely. I now know what to do, great video!

I don't have any organic or vermi compost can I use direct kitchen scrab on it
@urbangardeningofficial
@urbangardeningofficial 5 жыл бұрын
no do not use fresh kitchen waste in ur garden as it will cause fungus n other disease...it will also attract flies n will smell bad .....always decompose your kitchen waste first before adding it to garden....it is also an important step in preventing the spread of disease and illnesses. In addition to harmful bacteria and weed seeds, raw waste can contain high levels of nitrogen, ammonium and salts, which can harm and burn plants.

@urbangardeningofficial
@urbangardeningofficial 6 жыл бұрын
no do not use chemical pesticides on your edibles ....just chop/cut the top growth heavily ...remove all the top growth .....after that mix 30 ml neem oil in 1 litre water and spray it on the plants ..repeat this after every 3 days ...and after 8-10 days your mint will start to re grow

Hi. I just found your channel. Love it. But I can't seem to find any videos anywhere that describes my plants problems. Thick, yet scrawny, sticks with barely any leaves. Young green stems turn purple then brown and see dried out. I bought both s spearmint and a chocolate mint at Home Depot in early September. I have pots indoors and outdoors. But pretty much the same problems. White specs on leaves. Used fresh potting soil. I live in zone 8. And my other plants are doing good. Please? Any advice? Thanks
