I discovered I could make jump rings from my wire scraps a few weeks ago, but oh wow, i didn't even know double flush cutters were a thing! That will make it so much easier. Thank you so much for your videos, they're really helpful.

What is the double cutter? How different from reg cutter? Also, for obe jump ring do you make 2 wraps on the pliers? Nit sure how many tomes you go around…?

The Xuron double flush cutters makes a straight cut on both sides of the wire. For the jump rings I would make one full turn around on the tapered round nose pliers or go around several times on the bail-maiking pliers.

With the Double flush cutter for jump rings... how often do you find you need to replace/ sharpen your blades( do you get them sharpened or do you just replace them???) Or do you feel the saw is the better way to go??? ( how often do you need to get new blades) Thx and & thx for getting hammered 🔨🔨 & wired for me .. so big of you heheh !!♥☻☺

Hi Vikki: I actually rarely make jump rings so am not sure how resilient the double flush cutters are. Maybe you can contact the Xuron company. I think the saw method makes a cleaner cut and is easier to use. The blades are pretty resilient and are not expensive in any case. Good luck.

May I ask the type/hardness of wire you're using?

The key is to use a good wire and make sure they are cut flush to the ends line up perfectly. I used 18g Artistic wire in this video, you can use half-hard wire if you go for a thinner gauge like 20g. Good luck.
