Thanks for the video! Here is my contribution to help those who would like a certain weight, Daisy BBs .177(4.5mm) 10bbs weigh about 3.44 gram so avg about .344 g /bb. Following this formula 4 oz is 113 gram about 328 bb 5oz is about 412 bb etc...hope this help for those who doesn't have a scale and wish to target a specific weight!

Shove another wire connector in so that the bbs stay in one end instead of flowing back and forth. This way only air remains in the other end

I've made a few of these, I use cut up bolts for mine, but the end caps I use self screwing drywall anchors for both sides, I cut 1 end off so i can make a loop with wire I glue both ends in...never comes out

Thank you for watching!!! I'm on the Mississippi River and sometimes the current gets to movin! These things weigh about 8 oz so if I want to add more weight to it I throw a weight on one end and my line on the other. Definitely helps in not getting snagged in the MS River. Thanks Keith! -Scott

Very nice video ! I have a question, I am new to fishing and I still didn't catch my first fish. I mostly fish next to where I live, on a coast with lots of rocks where I get snagged often and because I am a beginner this is a real frustration. So today I was searching for a solution and here I am on your video. My question is do you think this sinker is appropriate for coast fishing too or is it only appropriate for fishing in rivers as you mention it in this video ? I hope you can answer me, have a good day.

I would think its good with any moving water with hazardous bottoms. Rocks/trees etc... Whether its river current or ocean current its moving water. I think you start small and make 1 or 2 of them, put those guides on both ends so you can add or take off weight and go from there. These snake sinkers have saved me on the river and I hope help you in the ocean. Hope this helped and you too have an awesome day. -Scott

You call yourself a fisherman? You need to learn fishing termanology. A three inch fish is really 13" long, just hold it closer to the camera. If asked you've always caught your limit. My limit most days is zero, on great days I catch two fish both at least 3, I mean 13". Skunked, delete thar from your vocabulary. A really good set of fishing/hunting/ camping/hiking primers was written by Patrick F. McManus. Learned all about the outdoors from him.

I have a bag full of small lead shot. What do you think of a skinnier tube with lead? Would skinnier be better for snaglessness?
@Bait2Bend
@Bait2Bend 5 жыл бұрын
I would say absolutely, anytime you go skinny yet have a more dense area would be less likely to snag. I’m always game for trying anything. Thank you for watching have a great night. -Scott

I weighed my bb's on a scale and it sure looked like a lot more than what you have in your hose.I used 4 ounce copper bb's.

Mine were just regular babies. I didn’t really have a scale to weigh them, I just see how they reacted on the river when I got out there. The river was nagging me like crazy and this was a partial solution. So you used copper? How did it work for you I’m curious? Thanks for commenting.-Scott

I just made them and have not tried them.Have had the BB's for years laying around.Did not test them in water to see how they react before sealing them which is probably a good idea to do before glueingthem shut.
