I saw you on Point Blank, and here I am! I'm nearly finished a resto job on a Tek 2467B 'scope and then I'm starting to build an analog synth. I'm on enough weed and tramadol that your antics make perfect sense... your delivery kind of reminds me of a mental, middle-of-the-night, staggered-in-from-the-club-hungry cookery program from the nineties. Chip butties with crisps and pepperami, sort of thing. I learned useful lessons from that, too! Carry on!

I ought to smack myself for not building more shit. I had to build a guitar pedal of my choice to graduate physics 2. We had to source the parts that weren't on hand if we wanted to make something cool, and even draw, treat, cut, and print the circuit boards ourselves based on the schematics we had to create or find online. When the project started I was dumfounded our teacher thought we could handle this, and when it was done I was more surprised I hadn't tried it before. There's not much out there more rewarding. Everyone should build more shit, it makes the world a little bit better.

Lil help please!!

I just built this and i'm having some problems, mainly its the big button and its LED. when I press the big button nothing registers at all and nothing happens with the LED. I know the circuit is working because the FILL button works. I'm not good at programming but can understand whats going on. Can someone explain why the big button that is connected to A5 is called pin 19 in the code, as there is no pin 19 on the NANO. Also Big button LED which is connected to A3 is called pin 20.

it's pretty easy to understand, you send pixies to the correct wire, and the wav trigger sends singing pixies (i.e. sound) out according to which wire they came in. the arduino saves the time you take between each button press and sends pixies out on the channel it's recorded in with the same timing.

You know by far one of the most fun and simple to use drum sequencers is the Boss DR-660 drum machine. The sounds are kinda crap though. If only I had a kind of MIDI break-out trigger box with MIDI Velocity controlled VCAs I could run analog drum modules through so that I can trigger any drum module with velocity to volume control on every sound! I'm sure that would be supper expensive to set up in Eurorack format. :(

It can seem challenging at first. If you really want to do this, it might be good to start out with a kit. Maybe a MFOS Weird Sound Generator. Or a guitar pedal from DIY guitar pedal. The 6 minute fuzz is easy. You just populate the board with the correct components according to the directions and soldier them in. Or in the case of the 6 minute fuzz, just soldier the components. Just for anyone looking to get into it, it's possible. If a chowderhead like me can do it, anyone can. Lol.
