One concept I like is a superhero named by other people. Names are often things others give us and sometimes a superhero doesn't really think it's important until others call them something.

I've actually never heard about Japanese Tokusatsu heroes! My history (and, really, my specialty) is in classic American superheroes. I'm dipping my toes into other genres all the time, though, so thanks for sharing!

usually colorful, fight kaiju, sometimes have a team of four others, and sometimes color coded element based powers. they tend to be pretty similar, so any riff on the basics would be pretty unique.

Hmm! Lemme plug in my own superheroine. Once upon a time, a stoic sailor was [WHY], so when a lightning bolt struck her awhile out on her boat, giving her the power to control a lightning-bolt fishing rod, she deiced to use her powers for good as the superhero knowen as [WHAT], who fights threats in Sigbolyes, Florida, awhile taking care of her familys fishing business. (I used blanks for things I don't know yet) ( I like this fromula a lot!)

The way i write my stories makes me scared of other indie comics. I feel so much smaller and out of place with these other indie comic book writers in comparison because my stories are just slam bam action heroes and robots go BOOM. I already know that everyone's audience is different but i have the feeling my demographic is kinda non-existent (i.e readers who like action stories) I, myself am not a fan of artsy, gloomy, edgy, dark, serious, deep, complex or philosophical clash stories stretched to a whole 'how ever long' series. I myself want to make a simplistic, fantastical, cheesy, comical, cartoony, soft Sci-Fi, cyberpunk action story and by "simplistic" i meant my world has aliens, mercenaries, action heroes, unique individuals, vehicles modified for combat, rock music, mechas (real and super robots), retrowave/synthwave aesthetic, commandos, kaiju, extreme over the top action sports and high speed action. But that doesn't mean it's just gonna be dumb mindless action, i at least want some sort of depth and substance to it but just enough for it to be easy to follow. My stories are heavily inspired by many cartoons, games, movies and TV shows like Transformers, TMNT, GI Joe, M.A.S.K, Generator Rex, Avengers EMH, Motorcity, Ben 10, Hot Wheels, Slugterra, Storm Hawks, Ninjago, Megas XLR, Power Rangers, SWAT Kats, Tokusatsu shows, Pacific Rim, Titanfall, Vanquish, Halo, Mass Effect, Tokusatsu, Top Gun, Star Wars, etc. The way i see it, not everything has to be super deep, just fun to follow. I don't wanna make masterpieces, i just wanna make a fun time. I just hope that simplicity is still plausible nowadays. One more thing; If all fiction is dumb, then i mostly care about Rule of Cool. Apologies for the wall of texts, i just needed to get this outta my head

I don't think you have anything to worry about, Super Friend! The good thing about being fantastical, cheesy, comical, and cartoony is that those traits cross over into a lot of different demographics. Plus, I think that creative universes where just about anything can happen are going to be more and more popular as we move into the future. And me personally? I love big, funny, ridiculous action comedy. It's the most entertaining for me to watch AND write. It's just fun all around!!! So JUST KEEP CREATING!!!

Something about seeing tokusatsu being mentioned twice makes me happy, I also make up silly stories in my head that are kinda cheesy and filled with a bunch of action and explosions like what u described (but gradually gets emotional) so I genuinely think I'm gonna like yours

I think I can apply this to one of my superheroes like this Once upon a time Tritin Star grew up in a world where people with certain abilities had to keep their gifts hidden due to humanity not being ready for them and the reason he know this was ever since adolescence he had a special organ on his back that allowed him to control flames and even make wings of blue fire and since he knew humanity would find out about their existence sooner or later he decided to let their first impression be a good impression by becoming a superhero called Heatrayz and flew around putting out fires in his general area and rescuing people from high places and even preventing a few plane crashes all while hoping others would follow his example and use their gifts to help people I had to change a few names but I hope this sounds good I might delete this comment later to prevent my ideas from getting stolen but I’ll wait a few days before that in case you notice this
