I have a roleplay- like DnD, it's a group, but it's more storytelling than rolling dice and fights. It's a superhero roleplay, based on Bokuno Hero Academia, a superhero anime. Most of the characters have pretty tame superpowers: Yuro Iida, the famous speed hero's child, has engines in her legs and wheels that roll down to her heels. Basically, shes like a jet/plane but as a person! Reijin the unstable power child has the ability to fast grow plants around himself anywhere when he cries, but he can't control them and he cries too much. Then we have.. The summoner hero student. He has 8 superpowers, basically, because he summons creatures that have powers of their own- I cry every time the summoner hero has...a solution to every conflict we plan

I actually had a decent concept of some of this as a kid, about 10 or 11. My very first hero and homemade comic book (as a kid stapling printer paper together) was a hero named Green Bug. He had 1 ability, super strength. He got from ingesting different insect chemicals he mixed up during chemistry class at school. He had mixed so many he can't remember the exact combination. And once he ingested it he got sick a few days and once he started feeling better he realized he had the strength of 10 grown men. He decided to put his new ability to use after his mother who was a cop was shot, and his dad who was in a gang waa stabbed to death in prison. He lived with his grandparents. So he made a green suit using a dark green set of jogging pants and a long sleeve jogging shirt. He wore combat boots, and built armor using a lighter green spray painted mix and match of armor from baseball, football, and hockey. Then he realized he needed too cover his face to not upset his grandparents or get mocked at school. So he wore a red ski mask he attached thin plastic playing over (from this old school plastic school folders) and red and brown dirt bike goggles. Giving him the appearance of some shelled bug. And oncertain he attached a portable CB radio he really has a bug look. And he went out with his super strength and radio and fought crime on weekends. It was fun drawing and stapling the pages and coloring with colored pencils to hand these off to family to read.

I created a hero! Anke comes from a long line of Günthers and when you turn 15 you get your power. No power in the family repeats. Anke’s power is being able to create blades from the palm of her hand. If a blade get harmed or hit while being extracted from her hand it gives her the pain of being stabbed and causes internal damage. In addition to this she heals quickly internally but not externally. If anywhere on her skin or close to the skin gets harmed it will take a while to heal. She uses her powers to help her reclaim her lost throne and win the war. In everyday uses it’s just like having a knife with you everywhere whenever you need it. What do you think?

Well, a hero I thought up somewhat recently kinda has the "superhero cocktail" (that is, a combination of super strength, super speed, super toughness, and flight), plus heat based powers that allow him to fire off lasers from his eyes like Superman or do giant heat waves of death like Genos, along with other stuff. Problem is... his weakness is actually pretty mundane, like Martian Manhunter's weakness to fire. He gets super nerfed in the cold, to the point where it simply being winter causes him to exert himself a lot more than normal. Another (and even more recently thought of) hero basically has the Berserker Armor from Berserk, in that his cool edgy armor is actually sort of alive and lets him put out _a lot_ more force than normal, along with physically piercing into his body to pull him together... but pulling him together is all it really does. It don't heal him, it just keep him from falling apart.
@SuperheroSaturday3 жыл бұрын
Don’t shortchange yourself, Super Friend! I actually really like the concept of cold as a weakness. Many creatures in the natural world deal with this weakness-and being allergic to winter, while inconvenient, is a great opportunity to build story! As for the other one, that is interesting as well! I’m not super familiar with the Berserker Armor, but it sounds like a fascinating concept! Thanks for sharing! Keep on creating!!!

I recently made an assassin character (WIP) and their whole thing is that he can transform his body to basically any gas or liquid, he can even separate himself into hundreds of bits, the caviots so far is that using the ability for a period of time with extensive use can be very exhausting, and when he turns back to his normal human form he is just as weak as a normal person. Also he can change his appearance and body structure when using his ability when he reforms back to his human form making it very easy to get away with any assassination. Like I said a WIP character but I think it's coming along amazingly ( I forgot to mention but he can also turn into ice, and he is limited by how much he can turn into by how much his body has, for instance if he is a smaller person he has less gas, liquid, or ice to use but if he is a larger person then he has access to more because he has more body mass. )

That's a really interesting take on that concept, Super Friend. Sounds like a great start to a fantastic character. Thanks for sharing, and keep working on it!

I invented my own hero! Character: his name is *Stefano Nemeless* , 20 year old russian assasin and is a *"rozovyy d'yavol"* (translates to "pink devil"), a species I invented myself! He's a tough guy around other people but with certain people (like friends & family) he's a silly, goofy guy that loves to play piano! Powers: He has *quick regeneration* , not instant, quick, and the time that it takes to heal varies based on how bad the injury is. He can sorta like *"melt" in the ground* , and when he's underground he can *travel really fast* (wich is usefull for an assasin like him). He has *unnatural strength* , it's not incredible strength, just unnatural. He has *a tail* wich can grow up to 20 feet and sting people with a toxic poison yet to be discovered. He mostly uses to threaten people by choking them with it. Weakness: His weakness is... the *bête d'or!* (translates to "golden beast") wich is the main villain of the plot. bête d'or has an aura that is able to weaken Stefs *strength* and *regen* , making it harder for him to fight. How he got the powers: He was basically *born with these powers* since his mother had them aswell. How he uses them when he's not fighting: Sometimes he uses his "melt travel" to *scare his friends* when they least expect it! He also uses his tail to *play extra notes* when he's playing the piano.
@SuperheroSaturday3 жыл бұрын
I absolutely LOVE the detail you've put into this character, Super Friend! Great job thinking through the non-heroic hobbies and integrating that with the powers (specifically, piano + tail = WAY easier to play certain difficult pieces!). The superhero I thought up of is heavily based off of my imaginary friend when I was little, Spike-O. Spike-O didn't really have any powers whenever he was first thought up of. He was a character that every single body part of his was made in a geometric diamond shape. I decided that the power would be a kind of purple electricity. The reason for this is because he was actually carved out of a huge alien crystal asteroid that had come from the planet, spica imperium. Spike-O was given life to once carved and became a chaotic-good hero. He could go into the last resort mode when he is covered in purple lightning and the sky turns gray. He becomes very fast and shoots larger and more amounts of electricity. However, using this last resort move makes him unable to fight after it wears off for the rest of the day. His weakness is metal. Anything metal he attacks will take little to no damage.

Nice work, Super Friend! I like the crystal asteroid of spica imperium--and the chaotic good alignment. This is what I love about character development. It can start small and then grow into such a well-rounded concept. Great job!

I had an idea where a character could travel through different worlds and basically could not die. The reason however was because most of the things that would kill her were supernatural or were the superpowers of that world and she could absorb it and convert it to her own energy like stamina or things like that and she would not need to sleep if enough power is absorbed. Another thing is that when about to die from something not supernatural her mid would kinda panic and send her to a world that most resembled what her thoughts were and the thing harming her would either not be brought along or in some rare cases would be converted into the next world's version of it. So technically she could be wearing casual clothes of a modern type of world and be transported to an ancient one in which her clothes would change into the casual wear of wherever she is transported to. This was just a fun self insert character that i thought of and because of the trauma the worlds caused her she forgets about them to deal with it and would sometimes enter the same one again but without her influence and start over with a lot of deja vu.
@SuperheroSaturday2 жыл бұрын
That sounds super fun to follow! And it's definitely nice for a character to be able to wear casual clothes that match the location. When you don't have that, it just reminds me of seeing Star Wars characters at a Renaissance fair. xD Thanks for sharing, Super Friend!!! Keep up the creative work!

So I'm making a story with myself as the main character. A spirit takes me to a mysterious, new world (working on coming up with a name) and some time in that world I try to stop a raid. I'm not doing so well in stopping so I make a wish to have more power and I get a superpower. My superpower is called Aura. Function: By extracting energy from my heart I form a visible aura around me and boost my physical abilities. In addition to boosting my physical abilities I also gain other abilities such as firing spheres and lasers from my hands, flight, and many more. My aura can also form a shield to protect me from attacks but it's durability is equal to my own durability (which isn't much) so a strong enough attack can break it. The limit to aura is that if I extract too much energy I'll faint.

A character im writing has a power that is very unique and rare in fiction, but at the same time simple, the manipulation of destination. Which unlocks abilities like literally never having an attack miss, deflecting attacks by changing their destination to be anywhere other than where you are, and making it so themselves and the group of other characters they are travelling with always end up at the desired location they are heading to. It also sorta comes with immortality at a high enough level just by saying, "my destination will never be the afterlife" or something like that, its shockingly powerful for such a simple skill, the only thing making that character one of the weaker ones in the verse is that they are lacking in physical prowess or other abilities.
@MegaConkster2 жыл бұрын
I came up with a hero whose power is lying. He can fool lie detectors and even fool people trying to use psychic or magic powers to determine the veracity of his statements. And, as a master of lies, he can tell when others are lying to him. His weakness, aside from not having any overt combat power, is that he feels very self-conscious around people who know what his power is... like he worries that they won't believe him when he's telling the truth because they know he can lie so convincingly, so he tends to not speak up at times. As a low-power hero, I see him as more of a street level detective style hero who cons his way into crime scenes and dupes the criminal element into revealing themselves.

Actually, you can give your character multiple superpowers. Ben 10, Max Steel, Generator Rex, Iron Man, Chiro from Super Robot Monkey Team Hyper Force Go, every Heisei and Reiwa Kamen Rider, Ultraman and Danny Phantom are good examples of this. They have all kinds of abilities like strength, speed, flight, cloning, invisibility, elements, size change, turning themselves into a cannonball, lasers, creation, shapeshifting and many more and all this, capable by ONE character. I think what makes these kinds of characters so good is due to there development through out their story. If anyone is planning to make a character like Max Steel and Ben 10, make them very flawed, make them know every little about their own potential, and make their device extremely flawed.

I'm EXTREMELY LATE to the party, but I've had a hero in my head, so here he is- Preatorian, the first big time hero on his earth.....who everyone in all forms of governance is scared of, due to his power. He's got the Superman package, except every bit of his power comes from a sort of barrier around his body. He has Island shattering super strength, speed capable of reaching Mach 400 within milliseconds, durability that only a world destroying weapon could have a hope of breaching, laser vision(colored Blue to White) that has utterly atomized a asteroid the size of New Hampshire, is fully capable of surviving the vacuum of space with no difficulty, and a tactile telekinetic field that he can spread through touch, capable of fully covering an area of about the circular circumference of South Carolina. The senses of all the best mammals on earth, except touch, which remains at human levels. When he activates his laser vision, he is momentarily blinded, which drives him to only use it in short bursts in combat(if at all).

I came up with being able to split anything into molecules and atoms

Wouldn’t that be too OP, are there any limitations?

Mine gets some of her power though blood loss, or just getting hurt in general. if she doesn't use it however it gets wasted once she recovers.

I was thinking if she could pierce herself with a giant nail, then what if she could hug someone and then use the power to pierce both of them and engage in blood transfusion and then use her giant bird wings to flap and continue beating the villain up though blunt slapping.

That's a very interesting power! Plus it sounds science-y enough to be flexible in a lot of SUPER situations. Thanks for sharing, Super Friend!

Do you have any ideas for weapons or powers for a character with robot limbs?

I've got a new video coming out this week about tech-based super-characters! We'll talk a little bit about robot limbs in that one. Hope it helps!

Heres my opinion on power scalers. Sure, they can hurt your plot, unless you make them develop their abilities. For example: A good power scaler starts wirh nothing, not knowing anything about how to use their power. That can allow you to create a simple plot, and it makes the character more interesting. Take naruto, hes technically a power scaler but people love him because of his struggles, his ambition, and his development as a character(Naruto is a well designed power scaler). So all im saying is, if you make a well thought out power scaler, with constant conflicts, trauma(if you want the character to suffer), goals that can push the character further, then your power scaler wont do any damage to the story.
