how to make your spacebar sound good?
This is one of the comon problems encountered by keyboard enthusiasts and this is my go to method in fixing the issue!
Introducing the Jelly Tape Mod!
It's an easy fix that even begginners in the hobby can do to make thier spacebar sound awesome! This works like magic on most space bars especially the higher profile ones! Ofcourse modifying the stabilizers will help too but that is for another topic!

This is a great mod. I think I have 3 layers of the tape in my space bar and it made the sound deeper and wayy less hollow. I also lubed my stabiliser without desoldering and now my spacebar sounds super nice and deep.

How did you lube it with spray or kratox and did you just like shove a brush in the there?

@@millanminter For the stabilisers I used superlube grease and shoved some of that into the stabilisers with a toothpick. For the switches, I mixed superlube grease and superlube oil then used a thin brush to brush the sides while pressing on the switches. I used superlube because it was easiest to get compared to krytox.

THIS IS AMAZING. Honestly super good! I did this for my asa profile spacebar and it feels perfect! I only used one layer because i still wanted abit of pop :)

hello kuya idk if you'll see this but I tried the jelly tape with a beauty blender foam to really fill up the gaps and it works wonders, you could use a sponge if you have some at home :)

It works! I had a bit of trouble cutting the tape at first but I remembered the tape was washable and reusable. The Tape cuts alot easier when it's wet because the adhesive doesn't activate until it's dry.

How hard is it to remove and does it leave behind any adhesive residue when removed? I’ve been using car deadening mat. It works, but it leaves behind a mess. I had to make the first layer tape so that it doesn’t leave the underside of my space bar with residue.

I agree this is the best I've tried so far! I regret when I experimented with a foam like pre-made spacebar tape available online. But I reverted back to this one and I even like the weight it adds.

Thanks for this idea, I have an akko board with ASA keycaps, and the weakest part of it was the hollow spacebar. The stabilizers were already well lubed, clipped, wire-balanced, and holee modded, but it still didn't sound great. Tried this out with just 2 layers and it now sounds more muted and it doesn't bother me anymore, cheers!!

Dude I have the best spacebar mod. You get styrofoam and shove it in the spacebar with some double sided tape and then add a rubber band around it on bloth sides...
