A digital render with 32 bit bit depth has highlight and shadow headroom to spare, above beyond what film is capable of. People with good eyes and taste can make digital renderings look amazing. CGI gets a bad wrap due to the number of vendors of inconsistent quality being booked and overworked on big Hollywood trash.
@BoundlessEntertainmentFilms Жыл бұрын
Yes, that is because it is rendered from a computer and therefore you are essentially able to retain as much data as you wish, given the right codecs and writing capabilities. What I'm referring to in the video is digital sensor image capture vs. film capture. Film historically is better with highlights than digital sensors and even tends to have a desirable look when overexposed, whereas if you clip data in a digital capture, you are unable to recover it. This part of the video doesn't have anything to do with CGI renders, but rather is a comparison and explanation of film vs digital sensors, and why the film look and workflow is desirable. Hope that clarifies things!

Are you taking all of the Megascans color maps and using the engines color management tool to convert them to ACES 1.2? I think they're all Rec.709 and I notice a huge difference between them when converting them (and my own art assets) to ACES 1.2.

Hey. Thank You for the information. I have tried all those settings and they work in most cases however when I want to get a wide shot (I am trying to get the entire City in one frame of the City Sample Model), the meshes of the buildings come out weirdly deformed. They look normal in the viewfinder. Not sure what is causing the issue.

Hi, I got a few questions: 1) Does this video is a part of the Game Cinematic course? 2) Do I need to buy Dehancer to follow the course? If not, will I get the same result as your video without Dehancer?
@BoundlessEntertainmentFilms Жыл бұрын
Hello, you do not need to purchase Dehancer to follow the course, and you can achieve the same results without it. This video was recently added to the course to supplement the content which was already there, and I am continuing to add new content to the course to keep it up to date!

I hope in the future you can Include metahuman in your course.

Hi thanks for the video, one question, does the Unreal course have support? I am interested in buying the course but I had doubts and I wrote an email but I have not received a reply?
@BoundlessEntertainmentFilms Жыл бұрын
Hello and thanks for your question! Yes, the Unreal Engine for Filmmakers course does have support - I respond to all emails and comments on the course, and I do my best to keep up in the Private Facebook group for enrolled students, however there are also a ton of awesome people in that group who are happy to help you as well! It has become a great community and there is a ton of support in there as well! Sometimes it takes me a couple of days to catch up on emails, especially when I'm working on new content for the course or new products, but I get to them all! :)

Love paid plugins for free software...it's genius level thinking. 😂😂😂😂😂 Yo how money hungry are you? I feel like you just begged me for change in seven different ways. You should just slap logos on your body like a NASCAR driver.

@@monarchfilmspx0955 these plugins take months of effort to develop, so it would be difficult to offer everything for free, though we do have both free plugins (path tracer pro) and free courses for beginners, in addition to the videos on this channel. We also offer free upgrades and updates as new versions of the courses and plugins are created, so we try to provide a lot of lasting value in our products. If I could offer everything for free I would, but unfortunately I do have to put food on the table, and charging a small price for some of our products allows me to continue developing and improving them for our amazing community of artists
