Why would the C6 be your favorite generation?! I mean I like um too but definitely not my favorite generation! The C4 is my favorite generation but the C7 is definitely a better corvette than the C6! And the C4 is my favorite generation because that's what I drooled over my whole childhood! I was born in 82 so all new corvettes were C4s until I was 16!

@itzzray9263 no they aren't!! That LS7 is a $20,000 dollar problem just waiting to show itself!! The LT4 in the C7 ZO6 is a way better option!! And a lot more power and reliability! The C6 is not better than the C7!! I'm sorry but they don't make the corvette worse as they go along!! That LS7 is a joke of a engine!!! I'll never own one because of that LS7 you like so much!! I think you need to do some research on it!!! If you buy one it is a ABSOLUTE MUST to spend a few grand and fix the heads!! If not you'll be insanely sorry!! I guarantee it!!! And sorry to tell you but the 7.0 is a 427!! Not bigger than the 454!!! Or 496!! Or the 472 Cadillac or the 500 Cadillac! Where did you come up with this crap?!?!

@@C4VETTELT1 The valve dropping issue was actually due to an extremely minor (yet still impactful) manufacturing error by one of the suppliers for the valves. It was actually discovered to be that the error was so minute and would only actually cause an issue in a very small amount of the engines tht were produced in tht time, in the already small pool of engines that were made in tht time frame. SavageGeese has a video where they interview some of the top engineers that worked on corvettes in the past coupole generations. Basically there was a small time frame in which the manufacturing was confirmed to have the issue, yet even in those affected in tht time frame only a fraction of those actualy had an issue. The thing is, the corvette is so mass produced that the pool was big enough for enough people to talk about it and for it to be a valid concern when looking into one. That being said, most of them that are still on the road today have already had tht fixed or never had the issue to begin with. And dude, no shit, a supercharged newer gen v8 is gonna be "better" than an engine designed 20 years thats Naturally Aspirated. Your self assured ignorance is your achilles heel. You respond to someone saying a c6 is there favorite with, "why?!" the give zero explanation as tp why it shouldnt be someones favorite and then say your reason for liking the c4 (which is widely considered one of the most godawful generations) is because u grew up with it.. !!! ur logic is flawed in so many ways its hilarious u even posted these with a hint of seriousness. I grew up playing need for speed and the corvettes were always iconic to me, enough so, that i bought myself a C6 6 speed and I still get sompliments from people saying that they would take mine or just a c6 in general over the new ones because to a lot of people the C6 corvette is "The most corvette corvette". Obviously if you just want the best car to go 0-60 than newer one is better but at the point might as well look for an electric car if performance is all u care about.

I've been working at an auto store. And people ask me what the difference between spark plugs and their ratings. I allways have to ask them. Well, it depends. Are you just driving your car daily, or are you building something special. I always wanna help if it's a build because I know how it is. I have 3 builds and now 4 builds. Each one was a pain to get tuned, but I can confirm spark plugs will change the way the engine runs. Spark plugs with iridium low Temps are great for stop and go traffic, but then they have the iridium gold iridium, and those are a little different. Multipoint ignition for e85, and as for nitromethan, I would recommend dual spark ignition to ensure firing is constant across all rpm ranges. Needless to say, most customers are not building time attack monsters, but for the few who are, they ended up leaving with some goodies we hide behind the counter. One guy even got a crate motor.

Is 95 octane (we call that 98ron in the U.K.) really expensive in Cali or something? In the U.K. the equivalent of US 91 (95ron) has 10% ethanol in it now, whereas most 98ron doesn’t have any. So it usually works out cheaper to run 98 because the 10% ethanol sh!t isn’t as efficient.
@wi1h
@wi1h Жыл бұрын
95 octane doesn't exist at 99% of gas stations in the US (maybe 100%, i've never seen it). 93 is at some of the more name brand stations (shell, sunoco, etc) in more populated areas, but if you want to be 100% sure you can get gas at any station, 91 octane is the best you can do
@Jonathan_Doe_
@Jonathan_Doe_ Жыл бұрын
@@wi1h Damn that’s crazy, it’s only smaller off brand stations here that don’t have any super unleaded, I’d say about 1/20. When I had a car that ran like complete ass on low octane, I just kept a couple of bottles of octane booster for the rare situation I got caught out low on fuel at a station without it.
