How to manage chicks in their first 24 hours.

Hello! Just wondering why you move her after the chicks have hatched, and not before? I have a hen sitting at the moment and its my first time Thank you!

I don’t like to interfere with the sitting/hatching process any more than is necessary. I think they feel more secure when they’re in their usual environment. Either way, it’s easiest to shift them at night as they become night blind and can’t see properly to peck you!
