Love the Videos, Auto / Truck tech with a Computer and Electronics background Love to GEEK OUT Broken wires on cars and trucks real common, on my 1967 Hatteras not so much :P then again a crap load of 28 gauge to 14 gauge for a simple 12 volt light :O need to lose alot of strands for it to go out, and on a boat generally secured a whole lot better. On the one device taking the network down on cars and trucks see it all too often as they add more and more modules. A door module can cause a no start :O. Sooner or later if someone hasn't tried already will and backup cameras, lane departure alerts and what not to a boat. But IMO one bad node can take down the network. Back to enjoying the videos :)

Jeff, you want to make some real money? You want that brand new 60' sailboat? Create your own worldwide network of trusted marine electricians. They pay you to get "Jeff Cote" certified. Your whole job is to give these terrific videos and provide us someone local that can do work that you have determined is at least close to your quality. I would hire a local "Jeff Cote" certified marine electrician in a heart beat. Think about it.

+1 on which amp clamp meter you would recommend. What features (AC/DC, auto-range, 600a or more?, etc.)? Thanks!

Hi Karl, you nailed it. For a boater, DC and AC is a must, 600 amps is plenty of amps for most of us, and auto-range makes it easy. Thanks for watching.
