I think the best way to describe it is that kat is the most broken champ until you hit high elo. She becomes the most useless. She's weirdly designed like that because if no one knows how to play against a good kat she absolutely dominates, but if just enough do she's a minion. And the reason why 80 percent of ppl think she's broken and want her removed is because 80 percent of players are probably gold and bellow.

It's just getting used to abilities, and judging where to go. He seems to be really good at predicting and knowing where to dash to and when to dash out, something I mess up a lot but he does it so well.

I've done some... Calculations. Optimal build path for max damage is: Lethal tempo and alacrity, gathering storm and absolute focus (interchangeable with domination ad, calculated with gathering storm at 0. Technically this matters as it would change the build past 40 minutes (slightly better damage with nashors over stormrazor) but it's nearly negligible until 60 mins) ad and asp shard. ravenous, kraken, pd, botrk, wits, stormrazor Gives a total of around 12500 damage with a full channeled r, not including splash from hydra, onhits, or any magic damage scaling.

She is not busted with those items either, she is just viable... Katevolved has thousands of hours played with the champ, he knows every single matchup weakness and how much dmg he can deal at any stage of the game. An avg kat player even with this build is still going to have a lot of hard times.

To make this stuff work requires luck of team coordination or in Jacks case, insane skill. To Riots credit, the placebo nerfs to AD many patches ago, people started using AP and her winrate rose. When AD is popular it always lowers, like right now.

When I play AD Kat either the game ends b4 I got a single item or I get 2 items and tickle the enemy? Idk what I do wrong but I just feel hella awkward on AD Kat/Bruiser Kat. And with AP I get 20 kills but lose the game 😭

I think ad kat is all about playing with autoattacks and conqueror, but first u need to learn the damage output and when you can all in or not. If you look at katevolved, he is a autoattack master and is always able to max out the damage he does, expecially in lane phase, which often makes him snowball. Another great kat main, the only one (imo) who is at katevolved's level is Lianhuadao, a chinese kat onetrick, really godlike. You can look at some of hia games on the channel CN KATARINA

@@YESyeeees The thing I see from Oat players (and ppl who play Kat against me in my games) is that they often just jump on the enemy and do their rotation etc. sometimes even a kill lvl 3. When I try to trade or all in vs for example an Ahri I get all their abilities on me and I lost the trade. But me as an Ahri main sometimes think it's impossible to trade back vs a Kat cause she's so fast. Idk I should just play and watch some more.

@@gasaiv2 dw mate i also had these problems and still have sometimes since i'm still trying to master her. All i can say is that u will never win short trades as ad kat, she is all in-oriented. When i need short trades against matchups i still can't handle as ad kat, i just go ap with electrocute. Keep trying and watching these kat gods and you will figure out what you need to improve

It's simply becuz he's fed af and they already half gave up, so the moment he jumps on them they just straight up ran like hell especially when they saw him just tower dive them and either kill 2 and get out alive or just get 2 and die. He usually goes double adaptive or in some occasions (1 adaptive 1 armor/mr and 1 hp shard). Attackspeed isnt bad either its just a matter of preference. Nyro (another god tier kat) goes attack speed shard.

I think he's doing the basic Auto Reset thing which almost every champ uses e.g. Vi, Jax, Wukong, etc., so yes in ad kata you should definitely be doing it as well. It's the reason why his short trades are always so powerful

7:00 dumb explanation. Wits only gets 80 magic damage at level 18 you would get enough AP for nashors to out damage it way before then. The real reasons are that attack speed is a useless stat on an AP kat build, AP mythics suck dick, pen is weak because there's a ton of extra mr in the game + items like maw and fon have cancer broken uncounterable effects that don't care about mpen, ad gives kat a better early game, bork/sunderer are retardedly broken on melee champs and Kat's kit is a broken as fuck facilitator for them. I'm not really sure what they're smoking her e, daggers and r applying on hit effects was always going to skew her towards ad considering the extreme lack of on hit effect AP items and useless attack speed on one of the 2 that do exist.

The issue with AP build currently is 3 fold. Too many tanks and bruisers, so ap does no damage. Nashors costs more=bad. Then you're forced to build nashors for the attack speed scaling which as katevolved said, you need like 350+AP to make the damage on hit even good. AP build only works in low ELO or vs a whole team of squishies
